Popped and poured. Purplish/red in color. Nose of dark fruits and wood. Medium body, lots of ripe black fruit, some earth, some leather. Very modern in style. A bit on the hot side, and could use some bottle age.

On the nose some earthiness and oak with hints of alcohol. Blackberries was lingering in the background but overall not as fruity as I had expected. Taste was acidic with some heat from alcohol and some dark berries. Bottle 2/2 of 2017 and will probably not buy again.

First off it's a very deep red color almost with a purple hue. Nose was powerful and concentrated with a lot of black fruit. Dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry and plum with a bit raspberry in the background. Lots of oak, tobacco, leather and earth lingering as well.
Palate was all about acidic black fruit as well. Dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry, chokeberry (aronia) and some raspberry again. Oak, chocolate, leather, earthy mushroom, smoke and pepper coming through. Great acidity but with a big concentration and power behind it. Tannins showing it's a young wine and unfortunately couldn't get it decanted.
Overall a lovely wine that can certainly age gracefully over quite some years.

Earthiness and leather on the nose. Medium body wine with a good structure of both tannins and acidity. Darkberried with hints of blueberry and black currant.

Funny - kinda chugged down at a Magyar family dinner party. Meaning it was so delicious it added to everything while being commented on by no one. Three bottles gone!

The first vintage to put superiore on the label. Super barbera all the way through. An exceptional Barbera producer that evolved to make Barbaresco and Barolo. And that has enough acid to make it work for you. That is wound up Barbera. Concentrated on the nose, and very serious and structured for Barbera.

Soyeux et suave, c`est digeste et assez gourmand. Cerises noires, poivre, anis et rose. Tannins assez fins et lisses. Finale courte mais sans accroc. Beau vin de soif.

Aerated 1 hr in decanter; was totally ready to go. Good+ aromas of dried forest, black truffle, blue then black then some red fruits - it's apt to change in mere minutes. Youthful vigor with a foundation of ripe berries and soil/place. A good effort that many may prefer on its own - i liked it with grilled chicken. recommended
This is pure autumn. Mushrooms, wet forest and blue/black mature berries and hence quite different from the other Barbera wines I've tasted lately. It combines rustic and juicy and is quite pleasant and easy drinking. Acidity and tannins are limited. Actually it is perfectly in line with earlier vintages.

Drank from .375 in NYC. Vibrant and acidic, good black fruit level, nice long finish. I've enjoyed this wine before and my notes are consistent

Powerful with lots of oak. Marked tannins, the acidity is downplayed in this barbera. Very nice.

Quite nice. Deep, dark, rich berries with a bit of smoke and leather. Dry and fairly smooth-could only improve.

Perfectly serviceable, if a bit modern, Barbera. Leaner would make it pair better with food.
