  • N: sour cherries, almond paste, licorice, a savoury note, tobacco leaf, black tea, alcohol

P: high acidity, medium mouthfeel, sour cherries, licorice, black olive brine, warmth from alcohol, finish medium -. Tannins are developed but still pronounced. The nose is more interesting than the palate. Needs food

  • Drank from .375 in NYC. Vibrant and acidic, good black fruit level, nice long finish. I've enjoyed this wine before and my notes are consistent

  • Popped and poured. Purplish/red in color. Nose of dark fruits and wood. Medium body, lots of ripe black fruit, some earth, some leather. Very modern in style. A bit on the hot side, and could use some bottle age.

  • On the nose some earthiness and oak with hints of alcohol. Blackberries was lingering in the background but overall not as fruity as I had expected. Taste was acidic with some heat from alcohol and some dark berries. Bottle 2/2 of 2017 and will probably not buy again.
