One hour double decant. Very deep intense magenta color. Blackberry, raspberry, bay leaf, and peony. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the medium long+ finish.

Splash double decant. Deep dark purplish magenta color. Raspberry, underripe blackberry, and vanilla flan. Dry, nearly full bodied palate, with nice, fine acidity. Full tannins on the medium long+ finish. 75% CF and 25% Merlot
I was pleasantly surprised by this and my aeration didn’t do it justice. It’s likely much better with a traditional two hour decant. Great texture and integration.
Decanted 3 hrs. Delayed note, at once seemed simple and straightforward, but simply poking a little further revealed this is at once tightly wound and likely to yield layers of cab Franck and merlot goodness down the road. While I wouldn’t go so far as to say this was a waste to open, much, much better days are to come down the road.

Light body, velvety smooth (especially for a young wine). Mild tannins. Very enjoyable.

Plum, cherry, tobacco, and earth. Tannins we’re velvety soft and paired perfectly with a NY strip steak.

An impressive domestic Cabernet Franc that was consumed over two nights. I think I preferred the wine on night one where the energy was most present.
