Explosive. The nose on this sucker was just wild. Flowers, herbs, black tea and red fruit. Kinda crazy. On the palette, this was elegance and depth, all at once. Loved it. Holding tight to my other bottle.

Excellent with Thanksgiving dinner. Bright strawberry and cherry but still with good heft. Drinking very well, will save our last bottle for at least another year or 2.

Showing well right now. No decant . Poured at 55 degrees F and served with grilled salmon and a particularly acidic salad . Wet rocks, black raspberries and cherries on the nose. Very aromatic and pleasant. The alcohol is not obvious on the palate. Mostly juicy fruit with medium acidity and medium minus tannins. Moderate finish.

A lovely wine. Loads of minerality and plush fruit. Raspberries and cherries lead to enticing black pepper and oregano aromas. A surprise, as I don’t gravitate towards Pinots over 14%. The TA is quite low and the wine’s lack of finish shows this. But overall, I enjoyed this!
I picked up some heat on the aromatic here, a kind of soapiness that I don't like in Pinot Noir. I admit I am from the camp of lower ABV Pinot Noir, and this is not everyone's thing but when I smell heat in Pinot Noir, I get turned off. There was some here. Also, I thought about whether there was some stem inclusion too? Seemed liked there was a touch of whole cluster signature but maybe I am wrong. The palate? Juicy, sexy with root beer and dark cherry.

Bright ruby color with slow legs. Strawberry, violet and orange blossom on the nose. Raspberry, cinnamon and cherry cola on the palate. Long satiny finish.

Brooding black cherry and warm baking spice all over a Medium-full body. Hint of mushroom but not overwhelming. Can't imagine how good this will be in 5 or 8 years. But I'll never go that long. Drink now-2030.

The importance of this site cannot be overstated, and rightfully so. The Rochioli Vineyard enjoys one of the best microclimates in the Middle Reach, with the confluence of warmth and coolness at the banks of the Russian River. The net effect is a long, slow maturation of the fruit that yields a kaleidoscope of fruit notes along with other earthy aromas. There is excellent power on the palate and the wine showcases depth and size without ever being heavy.

Consistent with my prior note from 2 years ago. Still beautiful and has plenty of life. But great now to enjoy the fruit.
