Deep red, slightly brown on egde, intense, black berries. On the palett, leather, spice, oak, well balanced. Nice medium + body. Delicious wine! I have five more left, and I belive this wine can age for some more years.

Classic B’x nose of cassis with some minty tones added. Lovely ripe appearance in color and smell alike. No noticeable tannins. Wow, this can really compete with more traditional Médoc wines, retaining its own character at the same time, which can be taken as a compliment for its maker. Really love this. High marks and will hold for a couple of more years.

Dark red colour with a touch of brown on edges. Liquorice, tar, green pepper and a bit of spice flavours. Enjoyable but probably towards the end of the drinking window.

Deep red colour. Strawberry and toasty oak on the nose with a touch of alcohol. Sweet musk, mushroom, menthol, forest floor and a touch of funk on the palette with a bit of aniseed at the end. Opened over an hour and added a bit of savoury bite. Good acid and length. Probably needs another year or so to be drinking perfectly.

Weekly tasting group #110; South-Africa with a few extra's (@ The factory by JdB): Beautiful and concentrated bouquet with leather animals and sweet spices. On the palate red and dark berries, a lot of sweet spices, tobacco, coffee, cane sugar, vanilla and beautiful oak. Beautiful and juicy acidity and soft tannin with a pleasant bite. Beautiful and harmonious wine which is ready now, but it can last another 3+ years as well.

Boekenhoutskloof Winemakers dinner. (@ Bottles; Sas van Gent, Netherlands): In the bouquet and on the palate creamy primary cherries and berries. firm acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Overall a full bodied and concentrated wine still in its very youthful stage.
