Formal notes not recorded, but recall this was a better than average wine, and especially for the money. Some was used for cooking and the rest consumed over 4 days, and was refrigerated each day. I like French Chardonnay over domestic at this price because I think I get better quality. Was not super fruity but nicely balanced, but simple also. But still had the tangy, acidic chardonnay profile. After having, makes me want to explore other white French wines, chablis or other grape varieties.

A riper style. Medium -full bodied, with just enough acid to balance it out. Seems to be just off dry, but could also be the layers of fruit. Peach, apricot and mango. Some wet stone on the finish.

Great QPR is right! About as full-bodied a French Chardonnay as I’ve had (I’d call it medium-plus). It’s lovely and ripe, with melon and pineapple dominating and a little peach in the background. Plenty of acidity to carry the fruit. As others suggest, there’s a floral note from the viognier lees. There’s a bit of spice on the finish along with a little bitterness which I’m guessing is from the oak.

Good value in Chardonnay. Unoaked. Made from grapes grown in Provence, it shows it's warm climate roots. Eric Solomon is a great importer, but for just a few more $$$ you can get a Macon that blows this away.

Drunk after a 2019 Kumeu River Village Chardonnay 219, this was the leaner, more melony, amd less engaging wine. Clean and round, the wine certaiblynspeaks of a French commercial style.

Big, ripe, and rich. Melons and intense. A ready to drink style that packs more complexity than one associates with the price point. Viognier lees add a certain nuance which lifts this out of the ordinary.

Delicious wine with very good verve. Subtle creamy oak, and floral elements emerge - no doubt helped by the ageing on Viognier lees. For a commercial style of wine, this is supple, concentrated, and has a reasonable amount of character.

Supple and totally varietal Chardonnay fruit. Aged on Viognier lees, which may add the apparent floral element in the wine. Commercial and made in an easy and early-drinking style, but this has a certain amount of sophistication about tit, which lifts it above many other such iterations of this creamy style.

honeysuckle, melon and sea spray on the nose. As i tipped the glass I was smiling before the first drop hit my tongue. Welcoming yellow fruit, medium body, great acidity, some saline and minerals. Everything about this wine seems intentionally "just so" with nothing overpowering. Hint of butter, hint of oak, there's a lot going on here. Subtle hint of a sherbet candy at the end.
I I went to a wedding and they served this wine I would be grinning from ear to ear and talking to everyone. There's something fun about this wine. The $14.99 I paid was "Manhattan pricing" 50% more than the best price on Wine searcher, but still good value.

$40 @ local Lebanese restaurant. Grassy, mineral overtones, plodding melon deep fruit base. Seems too heavy handed to me.

Maybe it is still rested on the lees of Viognier. Tastes a bit brighter than it has in the past.

I think the wine is too young
2018 is much better to drink now, so I would assume another year would make this wine a lot more approachable
