Chardonnay from Cuis (60%), Chouilly, Epernay and young vines from Cramant, dosage 3-5 g/l, 12.5% vol.
Opened and enjoyed it together with a home made Quiche Lorraine. Starts with strong effervescence and mainly yeasty notes, gets more subtle after a while and showed fresh apples, a suggestion of lemon and a mineral touch, good acidity, medium body and good length with a hint of a lemony bitter note.
Developed nicely within the last 2 years but still very youthful and far away from its peak, will open my next bottle in two years, 91-92+.

Chalky mineral dominates first sips. Color is a greenish tinted gold and bubbles are lively, still youthful. With some air fruits come to the fore, pear, apple, a touch of citrus. Clean and precise, a dry style with good cut and energy. Enjoyable now and the best is yet to come.

Hade faktiskt högre förväntningar än vad denna flaska levererade. Hög syra och väldigt grön. Dov autolys, gav en hint av fänkål vilket kändes väldigt konstigt för mig.
Kanske tunnel. Kommer inte öppna nästa flaska närmaste åren

From 75cl, youthful, fresh-looking still not compacted cork. For bottling details, see my CT TN of 15.09.2020. Entering maturity, this is bigger, richer, heavier and more open than it was then (duh...) V. interesting play between distinct apple acidity and something much more lactic, I mean unpasteurized cow-milk-like, in the most appetizing way. 91P tonight, potential for further development.

Noticeably different from the last tasting 18 months ago. Rounder, a whisper of autolytic character, while retaining freshness and acidity. There was a slight bitterness on the finish, but it went away with time in the glass. With air, and coming up from cellar temperature, this got more refined and interesting.

(Disgorged in 2020, 100% Chardonnay from Cuis, Chouilly, Epernay and young vines from Cramant) Incipient maturity on the nose showing yellow apples, minerals and a touch of ginger and opens up with freshly baked bread and some lovely butter notes. Very seductive. Already opened up in a very nice and pleasant way on the palate showing smoothing yellow apples with a round and soft creaminess before the lengthy and balanced finish showing lime juicy bitterness. This has opened up a lot already and is very accessible already, but should evolve deliciously over the coming decade! (Best 2022-2037)

Vibrant and truly alive. Was a bit afraid it was to young but I rather say its drinkable now already for you who cant wait. Feels like everything is in its place - citrus, brioche and hasselnuts. Fairly long length.
Potential of 93-94.

Chardonnay from Cuis (60%), Chouilly, Epernay and young vines from Cramant, dosage 3-5 g/l. Fresh and yeasty, rather lean in this stage with mineral notes and medium to high acidity. A bit of waste to drink this so young, I will wait a couple of years for the next bottle, potential for 91-93.

Quite fresh and lively, not as round and complete as was the last bottle of 08 we drank — but may well be as good or better in a few years. For now this leans crisp youthful and pure, all fruit no yeasty notes. Green apple and fresh pear. I suspect this will live a very long time. Wishing I had bought two cases instead of one.

Sauer - Ziereisen - Jura - Champagne; 9/9/2020-9/16/2020 (Escherndorf - Efringen-Kirchen - Arbois - Cramant/Bouzy/Verzenay): From 75cl at Diebolt-Vallois cellar, bottle opened previous day. Bottled 2013, 7 years sur lie, therefore disgorged in 2020, but no visible date on label, 4g dosage. An absolute baby, just giving hints of brioche, yellow fruit and an intense, concentrated palate, the minerality still tightly coiled. The bubbles are currently somewhere between the Blanc de Blancs and the Prestige cuvées, i.e. not too coarse, not too fine, so I could imagine enjoying this on its own or with food. It would be a shame, however, to drink it before 2024. Great wine; excellent value for 35€ at cellar door. 92P(?)

From MAG, youthful still, lots of bubbles that need to settle but the aromas are great from this MAG. Brioche, citrus, complex.

Less yeasty than back in december 2020, more green apples and some slight almond notes.
Very good quality and continues to be quite open. This is very good for the price.

Surprisingly open nose with powerful yeasty notes. With time, yellow apples and quince entered the fray. Classical Cramant.
Strong acidity. Wait a couple of years.
Less floral and green fruited than 05/06/08.
