This was an excellent value wine - Great QPR. Dark fruits, smooth, mild tannin with dark chocolate notes on the finish. Wish I had gotten more of the 2018. Compares favorably with many $50 cabs. It was great with short ribs.

One of the better value Cabs, especially out of Paso. Intense fruit and spice; does has an iodine kick but doesn't get medicinal. QPR drives this to a high B (87).

Drank over two days, but the extra time didn’t seem to change much. I doubt that holding longer would add much either. A nice cab, good value. Good for weeknights, and probably would be fine as a crowd pleaser type of option.

Just dazzling - at least that's what it says on the cork. Popped and waited about 1.5 hours before tasting. Gorgeous and abundant fragrance of fresh cherries with both woody and floral notes. Primarily fresh and ripe cherries with a bite of juicy plums. Mouthfeel is bright, with low to medium tannin levels - I expected it to be a lot more tannic given the age, but was pleasantly surprised as it is much more approachable like this. Well balanced; light to medium body. Light to medium finish. It drinks like a Cab that wants to be a Pinot. Great QPR. *100% Cab w/ 13 mo. oak.

I gave this a 90 for drinkability. Would be a good party wine, as I'm assuming it has a bit of residual sugar due to the sweetness. V - Clear Med Garnet with some ruby hints. Minimal meniscus at this point and high viscosity. N = - Cherry, black and blue. Definitely sourdough and butter. P - Strong cherry, a bit sweet, with some blackberry and baking spices. Not Complex but tasty nonetheless. Fine/Med tannins.

Tasted twice over two days. Interesting cab - plum and ripe tomatoes on the nose. Also notes of spice. On the palette this is very balanced - modest acidity and the oak is restrained. Definitely felt some burn on the finish due to the high alcohol. This is an atypical and tasty cab that is drinking well now

Excellent QPR. Cherry, leather, grassy/fresh notes on the nose upon first pour. Lots of cherry fruit on first sip. Almost sweet. As it sat and opened up, slight oaky/vanilla came through a bit. Still fruit forward but not so much cherry. More balanced. Will be buying more.

Cork pulled and served in 45 mins. Deep garnet in the glass.
Definitely a fruit forward wine, but not a California fruit bomb. Fresh dark fruits and spice on the nose and palate. Smooth entry with well integrated tannins. Long BOLD finish. A bit of heat on the finish from the high alcohol %

Medium red Nose: Strawberry, plum, leather Palette: Lovely fruit of raspberry, strawberry, plum. Leather and a little pepper. Finish: Nice This is a very nice wine. Not kool aid which is what I think when I hear strawberry. It is balanced with the plum and leather/tobacco.

I was not expecting this from a bottle I can easily find on my grocery store shelves. Fruits immediately off the nose - blueberry, strawberry, cherry, and melon. A touch of fresh grass and earth, but the fruit dominated the perfume.
On taste is much the same. Well integrated fruit, very fine and integrated tannins, and a long finish. Very fresh out of the bottle and continued so as it sat. A nice surprise and I’ll be buying more.
*** Day 3 Update *** The fruit keeps coming to the fore and tannins soften even more. Nothing sour or funky even on day 3.

A disappointing wine. I love the Isololis but this is a different story. Wine starts with tart cherry fruit and continues with unripened plum and some red pepper spice. I found it almost too “purple” in fruits.

This was a big comedown from the 2017, which I rated 92.
This was overwhelmingly cherry (almost to the point of being syrupy), then plum notes developed later. The 2017 was perfect with grilled steak (which we had with this), but this is NOT a good steak wine.

Comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged for 13 months in American oak (25% new), this deep ruby wine serves up aromas and flavors of black currants, dark cherries, baking spices, milk chocolate and eucalyptus. Medium-bodied, low in acidity, seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%) and with supple tannins, it stays solid on the mid-palate and its oak is well-woven. Concluding with a medium-length, smooth finish, this is an "easy drinker" that should provide maximal pleasure during its first decade of life. Drink now-2028.

Effusive nose of dark cherry, herbs, cocoa, cinnamon, and oak.
On PNP we find fresh, bright, red fruit, chocolate, leather. Plushy tannins and mild acidity with a long finish. Over the course of two hours the fruit evolved to darker blue fruit. Not terribly complex but delicious and a crowd pleaser. Giving it 89 points as it's a value at $21.
