Delicious. Pure dark fruit, tannin isn’t that high, but it’s quite balanced with great acid and moderate alcohol. My jaw dropped when I saw this was $12. A steal.

Purchased for $9. Not the Reserva. This is a blend of 50% field blend, 30% Touriga Franca and 20% Touriga Nacional. I'd be interested to know what grapes are in the field blend. I get lots of pomegranate and cherry notes. But that much dark fruit. Red plum, but not black. Maybe the slightest hint of blackberry from the Nacional. Leather and tobacco. Not bad for all entry level Douro, but I was kinda hoping for a little more from Quinta do Bomfim. Hoping for that diamond in the rough. Grade: B
Difficile de faire mieux à ce prix. Un vrai vin, concentré avec des saveurs de fruits noirs, de bois et de tabac. Il a de la matière. J'aimerais le dégusté à nouveau dans quelques années.

Day One, closed even after one hour of aeration; medium to high acidity; bright but sour dark fruit; plum blueberry. Day two opens nicely; muted bouquet of dark fruit, soil; medium to full bodied fruit forward with a short dry finish. Acidity tempered somewhat. Great QPR.

Medium purple color. Smells of plums and blackberries, deep and ripe, with smoky earth, pencil lead, violets and coffee grounds. Medium/full-bodied with a pleasantly chewy texture and medium acidity. Chunks of plums and juicy blackberries, laced with cocoa, cedar, iron and earth. Straightforward but balanced, ripe but nuanced. A blend of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and others. Great introduction to Douro dry reds at a very attractive price point.

Tastes like a dry port. That is not all that bad. Deep fruit flavors with gripping tannins. Good for the table at a fair price.

Solid but not special. Deep ruby color, red fruit forward with solid tannin structure and oak notes.
