A nose of bold sweet black cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A full bodied Zin, with black cherry and smoky peppery flavors, jammy with a long finish, short decant. www.winelx.com

A bit lighter style of zin, almost translucent. Good acidity with some tannic structure. Food friendly style. Should keep going for several more years.

The acidity was pretty forward on day one. But after being opened and then vacuum sealed overnight, it all mellowed out. Some nice raspberry fruit up front and it was more well-balanced.

PnP. Nose of baked red fruit, hot red rocks, and earthy spice. Wild, rustic red raspberry and ramble expresses itself then gives way to baking spice and red plum. Acidity builds and delivers the finish, adding a tarter red fruit aspect, some stony notes, and supple, unobstrusive tannins and some soft earth. Opened up in the glass.

Good wine. Upfront mixed berries--I am calling out blueberry and cranberry. It seems a touch on the jammy side. Some still pretty stiff tannins. I knew this one was a baby when I cracked it, and my remainder will spend another year or two in the cellar.

Strong nose of sawdust and light red fruits with a little spice. Smooth, supple, red raspberry and bright red fruit with a big spicy backbone, adding red pepper, cinnamon, allspice, and a bit of green herb. Finish vibrates with stones, spice, snappy tannins, and bright red fruit acidity and dark plums, building into a polished oak and black pepper finale. Fantastic on its own after a Brunello.

Darker ruby color. Nose of black cherries and currants. Earthy undertones. Fruit forward, smooth and well structured. Approachable but might benefit from another year or two in the bottle. Continue to get consistently good zins from Carlisle. This is no different.

Pop and pour. Plush and round, the pinots lack the same dimension of flavor and acid combo of the chards. Top tier for sure.

Very good. WS 93 and CT average of 92.3 are legit. Wonderful Zin.

Popped and poured immediately after receiving my allocation. Tight and hot for now. Pepper. Serious fruit and depth. Let it settle, open in a year.

Combining the best of Carlisle and Turley in one, I enjoyed more than the Bedrock.
