I have little experience drinking young high end burgs, but this wine was quite enjoyable. I’m scoring it lower than some venerable Cellartracker contributors who come before me but I feel it’s about 93 points now. I can see aging potential, sure, but I didn’t get the aromatic complexity or palate experience that would bump my score up. The stem inclusion is surprisingly in the background and instead there is beautiful red fruit. This wine is more elegant than I’d expect for Roche. I have to say, I much prefer Dujac’s Morey wines to his Vosne.

Gorgeous, full throttle nose is red and black cherry with spice, stem spice, florals and some notions of earth. Palate is similarly layered and complex (in a primary fashion anyway). Texturally dazzling. A fantastic vintage for this wine.
Two bottles both showing the same.

So damn delicious and complete. Polish, purity, red fruit orientation, everything is there. Push come to shove, slightly trails Bonnes Mares but it's close.

2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Explosive primary nose displaying unbelievably concentrated ripe black fruit, blackberry concentrated, blackberry jam, licorice, meat, caramel, dark spices and earth. There is no hint of stem, perhaps due to the incredible concentration. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of explosive primary black fruit, rich, sweet and deeply toned, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long concentrated black fruit driven meaty finish with licorice at the end. Although very ripe and concentrated, it retains excellent balance and precision. This is a monster scale Burgundy.

Domaine Dujac Clos De La Roche 2019. Wow - den spice-parfymen her er til å dø for. Åpen og nydelig. Fyldig munnfølelse og mørk kremet frukt med høy modning på smak. Høy konsentrasjon og akkurat nok friskhet til å håndtere det. Mye struktur her - borger for et langt liv.

Tuesday Burgundy Cellar Visits - Mugneret-Gibourg, Dujac, Château de la Tour, and Fourrier (Cote d'Or): Tasted at the domaine. Wonderfully perfumed and spiced with rich black and red berries start-to-finish. Silky start showcases the vintage ripeness, then more structure emerges middle forward, but always remaining in the near background. This ends with so much tension, energy and muscle that it had a Musigny-like character for me. A great performance, 95-96 point potential here.

Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. One of the most exceptional examples of young Clos de la Roche I have ever tasted. So much ere, so wonderfully harmonious already, despite its ripeness and heft.
