Nydelig gylden gullfarge.

Quite simply a great white wine. Hazelnuts, candied orange zest, citrus and stone fruits. Amazing winemaking to produce a wine that has such complexity and yet retains its freshness. Superb white burgundy. Old school and wonderful.

Late release from the domaine. Luminous bright gold. Classic aged Meursault nose with pastry, honeyed yellow stone fruits, tart tartin, hazelnuts and spicey honeycomb. Rich palate with more of the same aged flavours plus orange peel and citrus held in check by a spine of acidity. Made to last structure in the making. Beautiful wine. Indefinite future as the cork was ample and less than half a length soaked. Will get more. Do not drink too chilled. Let it shine. PS I got more.

Gylden gul farge. Flott i munn.

Oljete. Ren, gylden og transparent. Intens i munn med rå balanse. Smør og gul frukt. Salt. God fruktkons med komplimenterende nerve. Fet og svær vin. Nydelig lengde.

Perfect cork and level. Rich gold. Light honeyed peach, hazelnut, honeycomb. medium weight, creamy, smooth, super clean and fruity with seamless oak spice and vanilla, finishes softly, not much acidity or zest, but soft and tasty and very drinkable. Not even the barest hint of oxidative flavours, impressive.

Brian's Birthday Dinner (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon): This punched above its weight and vintage. The nose was old school mature white Burg, with nuts, honey and ripe yellow fruit, all touched with a bit of toast. The palate was rich and round, with honeyed tones, rich red apple, and an undertone of caramelly, nutty notes, a this balanced with a surprising amount of acidity for the vintage. Old school, but really pleasing, and drinking nicely now. From an ex-Chateau bottle. Yummy.

Meget god flaske. 92

Med yellow gold. The nose is intensely of apple and apple juice. It is richly textured, flavourful and refreshing. A truly exciting 19 year old village wine. Chapeau!

Dark yellow and bright. Apples, orange peel, anise and sous bois, even wood - all quite lifted. Has a rich feel, flavours of apple and finishing with mushroom. Rinsed with crisp acid.

golden. Whiff of oxidation, along with super ripe fruit. Rich, concentrated with nutty, lemony finish. What it lacks in detail it makes up for in power. Does NOT stand up to pizza ;-(

Better fill level on this bottle. Med yellow to straw. Nose is very expressive- smokey, struck match, coconut, hazelnuts and appley fruit. Terrific mouth-filling apple fruit. Fresh and refreshing, medium length finish. This is special.

Cork is wet, fill is half down the neck - it has been leaking. Dark golden. Nose with white fruit, hazelnut, lemon and some boytritis effect. Showing some indication of oxidation. Concentration of the fruit is impressive, smoky, high viscosity and acid to cleanse. A remarkable village level wine despite the imperfect condition of this bottle. Stands up to stinky Epoisse-like cheese, too.

Golden in colour. Not very strong nose with hint of honey and minerality. Quite full in body. Medium acidity. Very balanced. Not very complex but very enjoyable. Quite creamy in palate with nicely done bitterness aftertaste.
Drunk coutesy of a generous friend. A lovely buttery nutty aged meursault. Has decent acidity and fruit to maintain its frehness and prevent cloying. Really enjoyable.

Drank with friends over dinner at Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, UK. Deep honeyed colur, lovely old Chardonnay nose of fresh hazelnuts and butter. Very nicely balanced on the palate with distinct but well integrated oak, good acidity and buttery, nutty, honeyed fruit. Good length. A really enjoyable example of fully mature Meursault and good relative value on the wine list at around US$120.

Figs, raisin, high acidity, need an hour in a decanter. A little high in alcohol 13,5, a very nice Mersault. Drink now.
