As good as it gets for Zin at this price point. Silky smooth luscious taste and suble pleasant tannins. Very fruity, predominant plum notes, not overly jammy. Great depth. Great w/wo food. It opened significanty better on day 2. Will take a long decant if drinking upon opening.
Bright ruby color. Medium/light body. Perfumed nose of raspberry, rose petal and suede leather. Bright red fruit on the palate, predominantly cherry and plum with notes of mint and aniseed. Nice bright juicy finish. Tasty.
Decanted for an hour, then drank over next 3 hours. Nice lush mouthfeel, tannins are surprisingly smooth for its age, lots of fresh red fruits and some spices, very smooth and silky, quite enjoyable!

This is based on two bottles, the first in January and the second, last night and tonight. The first bottle seemed to have more of a floral (violet) predominance, but tonight, chewy red fruit with some plum notes. Both bottles had a hint of bubble gum in the mix. The striking feature was the smooth, lush mouthfeel and the seamless mix of flavors. Almost no heat, and a very long, pleasant finish. Great even on day two. Memorable

The nose on this one is so classic Turley....and so good! Right from the pnp and for an hour or two after, it really grows. Brown spices, white pepper and black zin fruit abound. A perfectly balanced zin. Not hot, not overly acidic. Balanced, right now. Long after taste, too......very, very enjoyable. Carol blindly asked, also says a 93. Consensus!

We did a pnp at lunch, red fruit on the nose leading to a palate of cherry and sweet pipe tobacco. The finish was moderate to long. Decanting would definitely raise the score.

Excellent. An interesting combination of youth and maturity. Good acid and tannin backbone but also surprisingly smooth and velvety in texture. Very versatile as it will go with everything from steak to crackers. If you drink it now give it some air and make sure to serve it around 65 F.

Crazy wack funky. (I like my oatmeal lumpy). This is probably the most unique wine I have tasted in years. Not sure if it is the terroir or the winemaker but this is tres tres tres unique. So doesn't drink like a standard zinfandel. Aussi extremement jeune. Hold for 5 years at minimum. Drinking probably a 91 now but could be a crazy 95 in a few years. Could be the most epic wine I have ever tasted. Just crazy different.

Brilliant, balanced big zin with a wide range of complimentary flavors led by dark, brambly berry fruit, the usual Dusi earthiness, hints of cocoa and tobacco and spice. Yum.

Dark and velvet like in the glass. On the nose I get dark rich berry, like blackberry, with mint and a little sweetness of tobacco - as others mentioned. It's medium+, smooth with medium tannins. I like the description of "layered," as it continues to express new flavors and structures as it opens. Pesenti and Dusi are my Turley favorites.

My second favorite Turley, this is in the ultra rich, no tannin profile. When you want rich, dense, smooth fruit with no coyness, this is your wine! Have not had this in a decade so can’t compare against recent vintages. But this, Ueberroth and Pesenti are the epitome of Cali Zin of this style!

Sweet cherry pipe tobacco.
Tasty with a slightly bitter finish.
I’d serve on the cool side and wait a few years.

Truly extraordinary the way the nose just flows onto and then joins the excited palate. The best Dusi vineyard I can remember.

Aroma bouquet: raspberry, jamy, plums, prunes, intense
Color hue clarity:: light ruby, clear
Taste texture finish balance: juicy, jamey little spice on finish, clean quick finish, chocolate, light body, cherry, raspberry.
Overall: 5/5. Just a great zin. Open drink enjoy.

Good color and Body. Tonight it did not impress me that much. I may have been the issue more than the wine.
Upfront Fruit, tart cranberry finish. Nice
