셀러에서 2년쯤 있었던거 같다. 대형 하우스의 플래그쉽이고 바틀도 이쁘고, 유명하고 퀄리티 좋다는 평도 많은데 왠지 손이 잘 가지 않았다. 이름에서부터 어떤 좋은일을 추억할때 마셔야 할꺼 같아서 그런가... 여차저차 좋은날 마셨는데 괜찮다. 좋다.
대형 하우스의 플래그쉽답게 뭔가 강한 개성이 있다거나 꼭 찝어 특징이 있는건 아닌데.... 모나지 않은 좋은 밸런스를 자랑하면서 잘익은 사과(갈변x), 시트러스, 열대과일, 흰꽃, 견과류, 이스트. 부드러운 버블과 산미. 2시간 가량 마시는동안 큰 흔들림없는 체력. 샴페인이 가져야할 덕목을 두루두루 잘 지니고 있어서 누가마셔도 좋은 샴페인이라 느낄듯.
Light yellow color. Very lively, fine mousse. Aromas of apples, yeast, minerals and white flowers. Ripe, full-bodied fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Complex, persistent and very suave on the palate. A truly delicious and impressive Champagne at the very beginning of its peak drinking period.

Dinner at Picasso (Las Vegas, NV): Perrier-Jouët's 2013 Belle Epoque is a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier. Light golden and with a brisk tiny bead, it serves up a package of white peaches, honeycrisp apples, brioche, toasted almonds, ginger and jasmine. Medium-bodied, vibrantly acidic and with a creamy-textured mousse, it stays dense on the mid-palate and concludes with a lengthy, mineral-laden finish. This is a winner for Perrier-Jouët! Well-cellared bottles should easily reach their twentieth birthday. Drink now-2033.

Clear light/medium gold with a multitude of fine bubbles; clean medium nose of slight biscuit, light lemon, light apple and minerality; dry; high acidity; medium alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter and beautifully balanced like a crimson crisp apple - precise but round; long finish; drink now or in 10 years; not too autolytic - refined and approachable

Sporting a brisk tiny bead and intense aromatics, it flaunts an attractive bouquet of white peaches, honeycrisp apples, brioche, toasted almonds and jasmine. Medium-bodied, vibrantly acidic and with a creamy-textured mousse, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, adding notes of cardamom and wet stones. Dense on the mid-palate and concluding with a lengthy, energetic finish, this is another excellent vintage for Perrier-Jouët's tête de cuvée. Drink now-2033.

During a Perrier-Jouet dinner. Discrete nose, rather closed at the beginning, needed 30 min in a larger glass to open. Beautiful aromas of pear, flowers and lemon emerge, good balance, light and fresh as the house style is. Not nearly as grand as the 2012 Rose side by side. given how good older vintages of this Cuvees are, I would not open this anytime before 2028. 94-95

The Perrier-Jouet’s prestige cuvée Belle Époque is exceptionally sweet and mellow. Fresh pear fruits, honeysuckle, and gentle toasted brioche. Clean and transparent with a leesy texture, very straightforward and uncomplicated. 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, 5% Meunier. A bit too simple for me and lacks the dry extract one would expect from a champagne at around €180.. (89/100)

Le Tour de Champagne-Perswijn-Amsterdam-11/22-2021: 50% Ch, 45% PN, 5% PM, fresh bouquet, good mousse, firm midtaste with an impression of flowers, in the finish this champagne misses a bit persistence.

Still way too young, but couldn’t resist popping the cork with Japanese food. Has more than enough acidity to hold for quite some time, also showing some floral notes in addition to the white-fleshed fruity notes. Feels unfair to judge now, with massive upside potential after another 5-10 years of cellar time.

셀러에서 2년쯤 있었던거 같다. 대형 하우스의 플래그쉽이고 바틀도 이쁘고, 유명하고 퀄리티 좋다는 평도 많은데 왠지 손이 잘 가지 않았다.
이름에서부터 어떤 좋은일을 추억할때 마셔야 할꺼 같아서 그런가...
여차저차 좋은날 마셨는데 괜찮다. 좋다.

No nose to speak of. Palate… Perrier (seltzer) with a thin squeeze of lemon. That’s all I got.
Half hour later, kind of the same.
Maybe I just don’t “get” PJ. Clearly the house style eludes my palate. It’s not unpleasant but for the price… a big eh.
