As expected this is aging well, still has that earthy, plum skin smell, bright acid holds up a palate full of dried cherry, herbs, raspberry jam and smoke, in a complex and utterly delicious state right now, it was worth the time in the cellar, but now it is time to pop them open

Really good wine. Still needs more time, I think. I didn't decant as long as I normally do , either. But it still has a great nose and good, rich fruit flavor.

This definitely benefited from being opened 24 hours, which softened some of the quite firm tannins on opening. There is a lot of deep, darker plum fruit, plenty of complex herb/garrique/spice, a good tannic backbone, and nice overall balance. Should go several years at least, quite a nice CdR. I like that this doesn't show overly ripe, instead being quite restrained, but that quality is probably a negative for some other tasters.

Tasted 3 different bottles... Lots of bottle variation. The first bottle was 85, second was 85, third was a smokin' good 89+. If they were all as good as the third, I'd buy more. Great red fruit and acidity on all 3, but not much complexity on the first 2. The third had great structure, and second and third tier flavors of herb and game. Overall, good but not great, and if I buy again, it'll be one to drink right away rather than keep.

A little disappointing. Maybe this is a little backward right now, or maybe it was travel shock. I'll reserve judgment until I try one of the others in a few months.

A somewhat disappointing Cotes, as note here elsewhere a little thin and underwhelming. The ingredients are there, just not as pronounced as I would like it to be.

Very tight nose of cherry cough strup, hay, and a hint of mushroom. Not as "dirty" as I like my Rhones to be. Tasted of bitter coffee, some pepper, and hints of pine. Underwhelming with a short finish.

Currant, moderate red fruit and lychee on the nose. Rich plum, lychee and some pine/eucalyptus/grass as an undertone. Good tannin and acid balance, full but not overbearing, with a little bit of a bite. Very nice.

This wine can use some decanting. Upon uncorking, the nose and palate were tight. After a few hours, the nose was really opening up and gave you a sweet floral scent that's quite gorgeous. The mid-palate and finish still felt a bit tight with some bitterness at the edge that I don't care too much for. Good acidity that goes well with stews. This wine is better paired with food than drunk by itself.

there is a lot of green on the nose after an hour of decanting, some fresh cut grass, smells like I'm in the backyard, very interesting, big flavors in this one, yes, still tannic and young as it is, this is a delicious Cotes du Rhone bursting with raspberry, wild strawberry, and chunks of fresh soil, even with the strong acid and tannin is somehow still a smooth drink, I had to check my receipt for the price, great value!

Broad flavors of black stone fruit, mineral, pepper that expand toward the back of the midpalate. Finishes well with good length and trace tannins. Could probably improve with time but I kind of enjoy the midly rough edges around this wine right now. Very good value. 89+

Really needs time to breath. I gave it 5 or 6 hours and it could have used a bit more. But it did open up and show a little personality. Very nice. Great price.

Healthy deep color. Heady, slightly hot, red fruit and caramel aroma rapidly gives way to camphor and herbs. Body is lighter than the nose suggests, and while there is good, ripe fruit, in the end, it is a bit short and less interesting on the palate than its scents would suggest.

Color: dark with light reddish/brown edge Nose: tobacco, baby powder, spearmint, cocoa, blueberries, smoke. great perfumed nose. Taste: pepper and minerals, with leather, prune and stawberry flavors Finish: cranberry, cassis, roast beef and tannic finish this wine really needs to open, it is complex and well made. fruit flavors and tannins come out after a couple hours decanting and all the flavors lengthen. Paid $12.

I liked the 2004 and I like the 2005. It's rather tannic at first and needed 5 hours to open up, but by then it smelled so good no one wanted to drink it. Wonderful fruit flavors, good balance, very smooth. Thanks to the dollar the price is going up on this, but it's still well worth the price.

This is a nice wine. Nose of cherries, meat, leather. Taste of cherries, cassis, roasted meat. It's very tannic and a bit acidic, but still very good. I decanted it for 1.5 hours. It could use even more. Great QPR. 89+. Given a couple of years it could be a 90 or 91 wine. I'd buy it again. Very CDP like.

Dense Cotes du Rhone, with a bit of the barnyard, and pretty good fruit, but cloaked in fierce tannins. The tannins receded on Day 2, but so did the fruit.

Pnp . Improved with air. Not sure if it will improve with time. Probably. Pretty good now but I'm going to sit on the rest and see where they go.
