12 months in 50% new oak, 12 months in concrete egg. For him, for the northern Rhone like profile this is a real catch. '19 is amazing in the Rhone valley but it needs time. Tight and intense right now. Very driven. Needs to unwind but I betcha its goona be good!

Beautiful deep violet color, brambly, rich black and blueberry fruit with lots of grip. Wet stone minerality mid-palate then drying tannins at the finish.

Sweet and very ripe black fruit that’s soft, cuddly and very spicy, but almost overpowered by the weight of alcohol. There were some gentle tannins but the finish was hot and overall this was clumsy and lacked balance. CHP 84 pts

Just a little bit of funk to the nose. Not really barnyard, more soilage. And then some dark black fruit as well - blackberry. And it must have Syrah because it certainly shows the tannin and structure of Syrah. And a bit of heat on the back.

Random wines tried before service (Oinoscent): The wine shows medium intensity, a bit reductive, irony/bloody, ripe sour cherry, ripe black currant, ripe black cherry, thin oak frame, earthy Palate bitter, harsh tannins, alcohol heat, lean, aggressive, medium body, short finish

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and raisin. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), fig, vanilla, oak and cinnamon. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Too sweet and bold. Really good nose but the structure is not of my liking

Extremely round and soft. This is built for early consumption but is dark and juicy and not bad for a weekday wine.

Solid if not especially impactful. Nice dark red and black fruit with M+ concentration and intensity. Fair QPR.

Besoin d'un peu de temps en cave.
Généreux, mais l'équilibre y est malgré tout.
Servir légèrement rafraîchit.
À revoir en 2023.
