Double decanted and poured. Garnet red, yellow rim, 4,5. Open mature classic right bank bouquet, complex, sweetness. Totally harmonious on the palate, perfect balance between tannin, acid and fruit, elegant and with finesse. Long finish. Not a top St.Emilion but it is perfect right now but will hold for at least five years.
Decanted and poured. Beautiful garnet red, orange rim, 5. Reserved but mature nose with some classic notes of forest floor and red fruit. Balanced taste. Drink now. Not much to wait for...

Mature garnet red. Very fine bouquet, forest floor, pencil, discrete spice, red berries. Elegant taste showing the same elements matched by rounded tannin. Perfect Bdx in total harmoni and balance. Wish I more often will come across this kind of wine. Drink now - 5 years.

A descent bottle of matured bordeaux. Ok fruit, medium bodied and resolved tannins. Unfortunately, the taste faded away quite fast after only a couple of hours...

Seemed past its prime to me. A couple hours in the decanter blew off a strong vegetal/herbaceous streak and left some pleasant fruit, light to medium body and a pleasant, if unispiring finish. Tough to complain given the price, but if I had any more I would drink up sooner rather than later.

Medium/deep ruby core, pale garnet rim. Ripe plum and red berry fruit on the nose, well integrated creamy oak, some spice. On the palate not much more than medium bodied, with ripe plum and red berry fruit and a savoury edge providing an attractive contrast to the sweet fruit. Decent intensity, fresh acidity and pleasantly chewy tannins which are perhaps just a little clumsy on the creamy vanilla finish. Overall very good indeed, certainly drinking well now but on this showing has the structure and concentration to go at least another 3 years.

Consumed from the bottle over a period of five to seven hours.
Complex, medium bodied, well balanced and youthful. Appeared much younger than a 1998.
