Similar to but maybe not quite as good as the bottle I had a year ago. There probably isn't a rush to drink these, but I'm not sure they'll get better.

Palate: strawberry, white cherry, strawberry leaves, light cream, light butterscotch as it warms up; long finish of almond, chalk, light bread crust; dry; medium- to medium body; strong fizz like covering palate with tons of tiny pin pricks; medium+ acidity
Overall: Good complexity with some fruit and some bitter elements. Lively bubbles that come off more as a fizz. None of the individual elements especially impress, but as a whole, this is a very good sparkling wine.

Nose: chalk, very funky, eraser, lemon, cream, butterscotch
Taste: Meyer lemon, cream, almond, wood; very elegant bubbles, frothy; long finish of almond and wood; medium + acid; dry;
overall: really delicious; the first sip pops in your mouth, like the equivalent of the excitement of popping a bottle of champagne at a celebration! Really fantastic.

Very full mousse. Almost soda-like. Subtle biscuit, green apple and lime on the nose. Palate is of yeasty apple with lime and a mineral finish. Nowhere near over the hill as the WS window suggests. This will be fine for another 12-18 mos.

You have to love the "Frank Sinatra" of the tiny bubbles that marks Schramsberg. Dry, with a touch of tart apples and a nose of some ripe pair, (pairs beautifully with sauteed apple, pear and fois gras).

Slightly gold color with a fine mousse. Nose is yeasty with apples. Similar palate includes a touch of spice. I think this may have suffered in being paired with some grilled crab legs - it was better on its own.

Gibbs tasting: Fantastic nose of fresh bread, lemon peel, easy going minerality, and terroir/character; great structure/a’s, focussed, good bubbles, just an awesome sparkler. I loved this--elegant, grt flavors/balance, & mth. Yum!

Pale yellow color leads to a biscuity nose with a hint of green apple. The palate contains a wonderful yeast, apple, and kiffir lime leading a refreshingly minerality on the finish. I agree with another review that this can compete with champagnes twice the price. Very good indeed.

Quite frothy and pale yellow in color, its yeasty nose shows fresh green apple and sliced strawberries. The palate of green apple, lime, and tart strawberry is very smooth and finishes with crisp acidity. Good value - it could easily compete with Champagne at twice the price.

For a wine that was supposed to be dead after 2010, this was great. (With proper storage the drinking window is MUCH longer than many people think)

Great bottle of sparkling wine. It has a lot of creaminess to the taste. Not as much burnt wood as some. It was a crowd pleaser.
