The color balances between golden peach and bronze; quite dazzling in the glass. Distinctly cantaloupe notes upon opening that hold true on the attack. Strawberry and soft herbal notes of thyme and lavender join in a chorus of flavors that then bow out to a finish of white pepper. The mouthfeel is creamy but not flabby. A very pretty example of what a rosé can be. No sediment. 13.5% alc. With cashews while enjoying an Indian summer afternoon. 10.28.23. Recommended.

Opaque pink and light copper colored, medium bodied, firm and structured, complex, bright crisp core of peach, mineral and citrus flavors with a backbone of notes of wet stone and smokey roasted nuts. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2023/05/domaines-ott-chateau-romassan-mourvedre.html

Crisp and tactile, with white nectarines, oranges, lemon-lime, and a whiff of grass. Everything comes together nicely but it seems like this is yearning for additional layers of depth and complexity. Closes with nectarine pit on the modest finish.

Color salmón pálido. Nariz atractiva, con frutilla roja del bosque, matices florales y toques cítricos. En boca tiene buen ataque, pasa fluido, ciertas sensaciones golosas, bien de frescura y notable longitud.

Nose: Nice mineral expression with fresh watermelon. Perfect for a hot day. Palate: Perfect blend of acidity and watermelon, cantaloupe, orange peel and a lengthy, elegant finish. Drank this before my 2019’s given all the comments on lack of acidity in this wine. Not on this bottle as the acids are very present and provide the perfect amount of lift this wine is known for. God this is good!

I am in two minds about this. I like the fruit expression (watermelon, peach, unripe strawberry) on the nose and the delicately fleshy, peach-skin texture on the palate, but structurally it is quite loose, with soft acidity, and it seems to lack flavour intensity and drive. There is also quite a bit of alcoholic heat on the finish from the 14% ABV. It looks like it was a bit too warm in 2020 at Château de Selle.
At its regular price, I am not sure you can justify this, but it is a truly exceptional Provence rosé that would probably benefit with some more bottle age. It ticks all the boxes.
Another lost Friday afternoon gathering - mostly French (Jailbreak Brewery, Laurel, MD): Medium expressive nose displaying perfectly ripe yellow peach, rose, cotton candy and honey. Very refreshing and delicious. Pretty straightforward but nothing wrong with that. Domaines Ott wines were always expensive. This is a excellent but expensive summer quaffer.
Orange hue to this wine. Some red berries. Cotton candy Uber dry. Some petroleum hints. Raspberries. Hint of citrus. Longish finish. This is a well made rosé for sure. A bit pricey. I prefer the Bandol rosés personally for the same price.
Had to see what the fuss was all about. And maybe just a bit too young this time out? Or just shipped? Anyway, will have to try another bottle to full figure it out.
Color: light copper Nose: watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberry, underripe. Mediterranean herbs. Lavender. Parsley. Cream soda. Good intensity and concentration Palate: medium acidity, medium body. No tannin. Very mineral. Crushed rocks ride backset to the fruit from the nose. Balance is also good, with maybe a bit of an alcohol edge Finish: medium
More than your average rose, balanced and mineral. Interesting to think about, not just to pound. That said, rose I think never will be my cup of tea, would still rather have a white

This is what a high end rose should be. Complex, fruity, nutty and savory. It does oak well where so many screw it up. I really loved this rose.

Alas, didn't really impress anyone on day one, to the point we switched out. Day three maybe just a touch more gumption?

Nice, refined Provence Rosé. Decent structure, lacking a bit of grip/acid on the finish. I prefer their Bandol Rosé.

Round, full-bodied peach fruit, excellent structure, notable viscosity, ample finish, seemed to lack acidity which is characteristic of Bandol Roses.

Probably needs a bit more time, was quite 'silent' on the nose, even after a day. Palate was subtle, lacked length. Expected more.
