Tasted blind. Very light. Featherweight wine. But good. Very saline / mineral. Rather pure lime and pear. Tastes sophisticated despite the light body. Hard to guess what this is. My mind leads me to Genoa for whatever reason. Rating: 90.

Clear pale yellow. Smelled peach, honeysuckle, and a whiff of cantaloupe; tasted mango and a little peachy with a saline finish. Medium-big in the mouth, sufficient acidity but it's not blindingly acidic. Food is definitely a plus with this one.

Opened around cellar temperature (AKA room temperature in Wellington) and it seemed just right. Smells like mixed orchard/stone/citrus fruits and flowers, fresh, juicy, perfumed, with sappy/vegetal and stony mineral accents. Isaac's dandelion reference is spot on! Nice fruit on the palate, like a mix of peach and grapefruit, with good acidity, a streak of salinity, and subtle bitterness lingering in the finish. Fun, tasty, moreish wine, and a good value at the modest price.

Straw color. A bright an perfumed appeal on the nose with peaches and limes, topped in dandelion and daisies, some talc and steely tones. On the palate, this is really zesty but also shows a good amount of depth. White peach and green apple fruit blends nicely with elements of talk, chalk and minerals. Cucumber slices and dandelion add a pleasant kick. This is brisk but delightful and sports solid complexity for the price.

Young, fresh, and vibrant, as you'd expect from a wine so young. There is fantastic acidity, citrusy aromas though by no means fruit dominated, very lively. Apparently there is a small amount of sherry included the blend, and while I don't pick it up on the nose at all, I can convince myself that there is a bit of oxidation and nuttiness on the finish. Though there is grapefruit there, and a refreshing pith bitterness, this is a wine driven not by fruit, but minerals, acidity, freshness, and and a bit of salinity. Despite its youth, this is savory wine, best with food. Lovely and a great value!

part of a large tasting. Opens with peach, lemon and floral aromas. Medium to light body. Peach flavors with lemon and floral. shorter finish.

Vinho Verde sort of colour, a more aromatic sort of wine with a greater focus on floral rather than fruit elements. Good enough for the price point.

First time having a white wine from Rioja. Slightly tangy and really enjoyable.

Pear, apricot, mushroom and wet gravel on the nose. High acidity, crisp, bone dry. Melon, minerals out the wazoo and long finish.

At this price range, great everyday drinker with or without food. It maybe needs a little more acid lift to go with more food, but that’s viura.
