I have to say my previous note is very spot on! Drank with fish and chips after a few days of significant wine tasting in London. Not sensational but a very solid NZ Chardonnay

Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): Highly flinty, extrovert and tight, smoky, palate with a bit more fruit, lemon, some nutty elements, stone fruit, a touch warm, full body, lime, nectarine, long finish, needs time

93-94+ If age brings richness, this will be 4.6+. Has the concentration & acid to lie down.
N: Classic NZ Chardonnay - reductive, an aggressive squeeze of lemon & lemon zest straight to the face. Bracing, energetic. Suggestion of cold crème anglais
P: Intense attack, white grapefruit, lime juice. Gunflint accents with a savoury, saline quality. Really, really good. Complexity, but this wonderful wine is about balance & concentration. High acid, but with ample fruit.
F: V. subtle toast, rubber glove, white peach

The wine looks greenish gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon and honeydew. It tastes like lemon and honeydew. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Good structure and balance between acidity and fruit concentration, with a medium+ finish. However, extremely reductive - burnt rubber, burnt rubber, and burnt rubber again. I don't believe it will improve with age (screw cap), but might be slightly better with extended decanting.

Very nice New Zealand Chardonnay: kiwi, chalk, soft reductive, apricot, hazelnut, grapefruit, light oak, great value for money, long finish. Served at De Librije (3 Michelin star), nice catch! Burgundy style.

Taste of ashes- like their section xx Sauvignon blanc. Probably to do with the barrels they use. Crispy and fresh - citrus in the background. One person thought it was a bit sour.

Masses of potential, but despite a double decant and leaving for 24 hours, the nose is still mildly reductive and closed. The palette has a wonderful explosion of tropical fruit flavours such as pineapple, but the oak has yet to integrate. The oak is more “on” the wine than “in” the wine at this stage. I am excited to try it with maybe 5 years or more on it.

That sense of a slight reserve which we often find in NZ Chardonnay was present again but this is part of the attraction. No fruit bomb or commercial sweetness, instead nice balance with only minimal oak presence.

Big reductive nose (argh!) even after a double-decant. But fading (slowly...) Golden colour with green tinges. Fatty and weighty but also fresh and energetic. Good but far from profound or that memorable. A little while later, I perceived more depth and richness. This is a good wine, just not quite what you hope it will be. I hope that 5-10 years will add more complexity.

Struck match aroma to the max - seems to be the house style.
In line with that it’s a savoury Chardonnay, the oak is a little young and raspy but there is rich but well wound fruit core. Pretty impressive. Less lucious, more disciplined than the 2017 but then this is younger.
Impressive wine. Makes a style statement
13.5%, screwcap

Plenty of struck match to the aroma. There is also fresh white peach and lemon fruits. It has good flavour intensity in the mouth and is voluminous and layered with chalky cut. There is so much wine here for the dollars.
