  • What a wonderful wine. Texturally, the tannins are velvety. The palate is enjoyable now but you can just tell this will continue to exude more and more expression in the years to come. Yum.

  • PnP. Took a while to open and then it was currant, earthy with a nice finish. Great QPR.

  • Decanted for 3 hours.

Dark purple colour, could’ve easily thought I was on a big Napa Cab.

I had pretty much only black fruits. Medium+ aftertaste. I’ll be patient with my other bottle, this lacked complexity and was quite unidimensional.

"Big Wine".

  • Opened, poured and let sit about 1 hr. Then: Maybe some darkish fruit on the nose. Taste starts out with reddish/darkish fruit and maybe gets a bit more reddish by the end of the glass; maybe a slight hint of sweetness; full bodied, but not over-ripe or over-extracted; tannins noticeable and not a problem at the beginning, but maybe get a little grippy by the finish; some warmth on the finish from beginning to end. Obviously young, but approachable and tasty. The "90" is for this bottle today. I would expect the score to increase over time.

  • The wine sells for such a great price I had to try the other bottle I had.

With a 1 hour decant, this matches Jeff Leve's notes of cherries, chocolate (like a white chocolate), and licorice. I do sense the mineral and floral notes and the wine is still quite robust and tannic in the mouth.

I think 2 years (2025) is a good time to open the next one, may be a 94-95 then. Delicious and will be getting more.

  • 91. I disagree with the other reviews here. This wine is WAY too young. Extremely tight, precise, and structured. Really full bodied. After A LOT of decanting, good balance but very heavy and chewy tannins. Initially, had only taste of rocks and water narcissus flower. When it opened up slightly after 3 days, black fruits and berries emerged. Good aftertaste but needs a lot more time, at least 2-3 years until I open up the next bottle. Will follow the 2026 recommendation.

91 points because clear the wine is well-made and the grapes are super high quality at a great price.

  • Cassis, cherry , tar, graphite, balsamic, a bit brandy, fine acidity, on second day charming tannins, finish could be longer.

  • A wine of finesse, red-fruited with lots of cranberry, cherry, orange peel and subtle oak spice on the palate. Medium-bodied, perhaps grapes were picked a little on the early side and a little under-extracted and under-oaked (thin on the midpalate), but a refreshing, elegant wine with some mid-term ageing potential. If you like Burgundy or Southern Rhone-styled BDX, this will be right in your wheelhouse.

  • I feel like this chateau has been on a roll the past three vintages, which have all shown a very consistent style. I might give the slight edge to 2019 over 2020 (and both over 2018), but this is really splitting hairs. Lovely, crunchy red berry fruit nose of raspberries and wild strawberries, with a bit more black fruit (cassis, plum) on the palate, with a pronounced mineral streak. While not exactly restrained, I would put these in the "traditional" camp, as the use of used barrels and amphorae for elevage means there is really no trace of oak. Excellent stuff for short to mid-term drinking.

  • 30 min decanting. Delicious to drink now with the fruit. Slightly sweet and approachable style that I'm sure many people will like. There is lot's of licourice which I find very tasty. The tannins are present but well integrated with the rest.

Day 2: It's still holding together very well.

  • Packed with black cherries, chocolate and licorice from start to finish, the wine is deeply colored with layers of lusciously-textured black plums, blue fruit, and cherries. This is an opulent style that will offer a pleasure young, yet it can age for 2 decades as well. Drink from 2023-2040.

2025-2038+ (April/Mai 2021)

  • Deeply colored, the wine opens with flowers, espresso, licorice, smoke and black cherries coated with chocolate. Silky, fresh and polished, the wine is rich, round and fresh, with a gorgeous sweetness, lift and purity in the fruit. 92-94
