Pale straw color. Nose shows grapefruit, crushed rocks, flint, and a hint of vanilla. Zesty, elegant, with a little grippy and creamy, maybe from the oak barrel. Aftertaste is long with prominent minerality. The fruit seems start to fade in this stage.

The power of a story grows with every retelling (Restaurant Story, London): It’s been a long time old friend and so happy to spot it so well priced on the list of the beautiful Restaurant Story, London. Punchy and young still, more fruity and in a way juicy than expected and maybe a result of the vintage. Some of that flinty minerality is there but the fruit, stone fruits and with a round feel. For sure in its proper drinking window and with a lot of life ahead. Very solid 92-93.

Opened in Courchevel. P&P and enjoyed over an evening conversation.
Unfortunately, I feel like we didn't have ideal conditions for enjoying this wine: it was probably slight infanticide, we didn't chill it enough, and certainly it could have benefited from some air. But I guess it just wasn't that kind of night.
Very solid wine, but not up to the standard of other Daguneaus that I've tasted, including the 2018 Silex. There's no rush though, and having had great experiences with other vintages of Pur Sang I'm certain to revisit this and I'm sure there is upside.

Softer, less mineral and more waxy than the Silex. Orchard fruit, citrus, flint, hay and some mustiness. It’s smooth but still tightly wind and holding back. Stylistically reminded me of Cotat. My preference leans to spend a few more dollars and get Silex.

Very Fine, but intense, highly complex nose of grapefruit , camomile , lemon zest , flint stone, wet slate , acacia
Tightly wound, very complex on the palate, with a zing acidic and salty streak. phantastic package of grapefruit and gooseberry, with a mineral wet stone backbone coated by elderflower and acacia. Very long, intense aftertaste
A beautiful and unique expression of Sauvignon Blanc, at the beginning of its drinking window. Highly recommended

SLDS May 2021: Orange peel, sea spray, pear and vanilla on the nose. Coiled up palate, this brings an extra layer of depth and an extra level of potential to explode with enough time. Hold this longer if you can.

Pale hay color.
Medium- intense nose of dust, granite, camomile, flinty-struck match, grapefruit. As the wine warms int the glass it reveals gooseberry notes.
On the palate lime skin, gooseberry, almond extract, smoke.
Piercing acidity rings through the palate. It’s leaner than the 2019 Asastuyu I had the night before, but I love the linear beauty of this wine.
Medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ acidity.
Next bottle five years from now. It’ll get more interesting with additional time.
