Promising floral aroma, but undrinkable acidity. Not classic VA flaw, but close, and definitely not the profile of this wine when I picked it up three years ago. Disappointing. D.

Will have to agree with Jordan on this wine........some berry but an overpresence of acidity, tartness and a little lean. This bottle is destined for the cupborad to be added to the cooking wine bench.

40 Grenache, 30 Mourvedre, 30 Syrah. Decanted for about two hours. Really dark purple color, red rim, very cloudy. Big aroma of cherry, barnyard, tar gives this wine some promise. Tart balsamic flavor takes hold of the palate and doesn't let go, joined in with some blueberry, some raisin, cola, light pepper notes, very subtle tannin. Long finish is surprisingly herbal and citrus-led. Close to two years in the cellar got the motor oil taste to burn off and some of the raisin flavor to integrate, so that's progress. Edit: Much more subdued on night #2. Aroma is less complex but palate is way more likeable with the tart balsamic much more in check. Raise rating a couple points. Maybe this wine has a future, but I don't think I'll invest in it.

Great fruity nose, very immediate tangyness, too much citrus, it was cloudy, we do not know how this wine wouldcontinue on the shelf.... did not meet expectations.

TWC does Paso Robles & Santa Barbara (River Run Farm, Tulsa, OK): Garnet in color with a nose laden with spicy red fruits - strawberry surprisingly strong - with cinnamon, black cherry, black pepper and blueberry (from the oak) that explodes from the glass. A delicious, medium-bodied wine with black cherries, clove and cinnamon on the palate. A quite charming wine.

Wow- hard first pull of fragrance. Direct from celler to glass. Sad to say - but over the hill (in my view). Absent fruit, slight "bitterness". Dang

Too tart, soft tannnins. I like the fruit flavors, but the acidity overpowers everything.
