  • Very Good / Excellent
Consumed a week ago over two nights, no notes, but great aromatic wine. Shows Muscat family heritage with orange and floral notes.

  • Light years ahead of last bottle last year, this is really outstanding, unique, and varietally correct. Waves of Muscat florals for years over a base of grapefruit pith love. Dang! Acidity starts to become more assertive (in a very good way) after about an hour.

  • A bit of spritz and pretty hefty reduction at first - smells like a pineapple ina toilet, haha. Thankfully that blows off, and underneath there’s a tensile, textural white of great aromatic intrigue. Flavors shift from grapefruit to pineapple to seaspray and quartz. Medium bodied and crackling with energy. Needs time but lovely.

  • Beautiful nose of white flowers, grapefruit and Jasmine. Off the charts acidity, medium body with great concentration. A nice blend of tropical fruits and a great mineral finish. Best slightly warmer with some air. 94 points today.

  • Hard to rate at this point - this needs time! Seems like it has tons of potential but is tightly packed.

  • A spectacular, organically farmed dry Muskateller wine (100 percent), sourced from the red sandstone soils of the Bürgergarten vineyard (located in the hamlet of Haardt, city of Neustadt an der Weinstraße). The wine spent twelve months on the fine lees in stainless steel tank. Bright, pale silver-yellow in color and enormously complex bouquet offering intense aromas of white flowers, lychee, peach, orange zest, fresh cut grass and a hint of smoke. The extremely refined and well-balanced palate offers a medium-bodied wine displaying abundant elderberry and tropical fruit, sweet spices, an amazing depth and a wonderful supporting acidity. Long mineral finish with a slight touch of flint. An absolutely stunning Muskateller wine that is beautifully drinkable now, but it has the bones to age for another two-three years. Impossible not to like this wine.

  • Pink grapefruit galore and freshly cut grass. Pear. In the rear: lychee and rose. Nice to sip away and indeed very good value. Missing a bit structure for higher score.

  • It’s the Electric Muskateller Acid Test! This is crazy vivid, putting to shame the term “aromatic varietal.” It’s not just aromatic, but it evokes visuals. It’s a swirling vortex of pink grapefruit, quince, sassafras, lychee and sweet herbs. Anyone old enough to recall a kaleidoscope can understand the intensely colorful visual, which here is translated to smell and taste. It’s been a long time since I tasted a Muscat this intense, probably back to the Hans Gunter Schwarz days at Catoir. It’s a bit of a revelation to experience it again, with digital clarity but analog depth.

  • Huge blast of grapefruit on the palate. No score because I am not a fan of this flavor profile, but I think this was a well made and balanced wine. Might be better on a hot summer day.

  • Electric Kool-aid- Acid and bolts of electricity. So wired for sound right. Bone dry. Acid. Stone. Layers of unctuous condensed fruit that is totally compacted. With air it fleshes out a bit and you can taste it for minutes. Young. Impressive. Crazy value.

  • Delivered today, opened and drank immediately- so no aging no quieting down and no airation .

Not the Suckling 99 points, but still a very serious muscatel. Some viscousity, explosively fruity nose. May gain a point or two with 2-3 years. Nice QPR for 20 euros.

    With pumpkin soup.
