Italian Wine Scholar Class @ The Texas Wine School. 100% Organic Sangiovese. Aged 1 yr in very large Slavonian oak casks. Med+ to deep ruby. Med+ nose, w/ some barnyard, tart black cherry, black plum, earth, leather, tobacco & a touch of sweet baking spices. Dry, juicy, w/ med+ acidity, med+, grippy tannins & high alcohol (14%). Full-bodied, structured, w/ med+ intensity & length. It really needs food or even more time in the cellar. Somewhat difficult to peg as a Sangiovese, it could be mistaken for a Montepulciano.

Dark ruby. Initial aromas clue you in this is Sangiovese. Some funk blows off about 30 minutes in. Deep cherry, pomegranate, crushed stone, spices, leather, tobacco. Almost all of these carry to the palate. Classic Sangiovese acidity but a bit more oomph. Fantastic wine. Her “reserve” wine is a step up on this bottling though by a handful of points.

I enjoyed it although acidity and tannins are still strong. Might smoothen with more years in the cellar (2-3?). Fruit? Yes, something like cherry but I cannot fully identify it. Feels stronger in the nose than in the mouth. I like the 14%. Previous vintages were more alcohol-intense.

Mid ruby, bit funky on the nose, cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, leather, cedar & earth. Decent body, high acidity and mid chalky tannins. Taste of cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, strawberry, earth, cedar & leather. Good length. Ingredients are there but felt a little disjointed, hopefully a bit more cellar time will benefit.

Serious Rosés at Full Circle: Brought as an extra, most guessed Bordeaux for this. Some unintegrated oak and spice on the nose, liked the palate more with the juicy, dark cherry fruit. Great value.
Drank over 2 days. Wild red berries, sour cherry, strawberry, hint of earth and notes of bacon. Good acidity with red fruits dominated flavours with fine grippy tannins. Lovely expression of Sangiovese, one thet can be drunk young as well as aged for a few years for tannins to soften. Would be probably be good to decant for 4-5 hours prior to soften the tannins. This is Sangiovese Predappio which is a smaller grape with fruitier notes and finer tannins.

Very reductive nose but blows off with a bit of swirling and time to clear. As that starts to lift there is some sweet but dusty red cherry, tomato leaf and a little smoke and leather. On the palate this opens with round yet fresh red fruit, initially quite a tart finish and tannins are pretty coating, but with air this gets better and better. Ok now with a decant or air but better in 2-3 years.

This was pleasant enough, with good complexity in the dusty, earthy, and perhaps slightly feral vein. Felt just a bit hollow in the midpalate though. I will say I was a bit sick last night so the hollowness may be more down to my palate.

The ‘19 Predappio is a beautiful wine that seems balanced for medium term aging, but is also a delight to drink now. Compared to the 2020 tasted the prior night, the 2019 Predappio was more concentrated and powerful, and had darker, black fruit tones (more in line with the 2017-2019 riservas) as opposed to the redder fruit tones in the 2020 Predappio.
On the nose, I found dark red to black cherry fruit, violets, sweet spices, gravel / mineral tones, and licorice. On the palate, the wine was medium to full in body, with waves of sweet black fruit, spices, and anise. The concentration of the wine was nicely balanced with vibrant acidity and the texture of the wine was largely smooth already with finessed tannins.

3yrs old wine, on pnp, perfume nose of cherry & berries & leather, tight, tannic, dry, high acidity Decant it for 5hrs, nose same perfume. Palate smooth, still very dry but more drinkable. Will try another bottle in 2yrs time

I didn't take detailed notes, but this was very good and excellent value for money. Perfumed nose of red fruits & herbs. Medium bodied, sweet fruit with some savoury notes. Tannins started off firm but became more integrated and velvety with air. Good acidity and a respectably long finish at this level.
I think it's better than most Chianti's at the same price point.

N....rich red and black fruit, medium+ intensity; quite the charmer.
C....only 3 yrs old but already showing signs of age on the edge.
T.....some gamey flavours, some wet leather; has obvious tannins and a dry style - very dry! - still feels young at 3 yrs old; fruit is classy though a bit short (the Nose might have been a false hope), and there's plenty of acid too; there is some elegance but no real power; has a decent mineral profile.
Bight and vivid fruit aromas and flavours. A touch of mint and some earth too. It has a core of cherry and some smoked meat notes. It has lovely perfume and balance and flavours persist.

Tight, bright, and juicy, so promising. Aromas of fresh cherry, blackberry, fennel, vague wild green herbs and blue flowers, great lift and energy here. Lots of crunchy fruit on the palate, vibrant acidity and supple tannins, inner perfume of violets, fennel, marzipan, and diverse herbs. So fresh and lively through the finish, a little grip from tannin, a lot of zip from acid, many fruit, herb and mineral notes linger. This is a ton of fun today, but will surely develop positively for 5+ years.

This was more austere compared to the previous bottle I had, aroma of plum, earth, bacon with good acid, bitter dry tannins.

Insane QPR.
Structured, well integrated tannins. Depth of herbal and dried red fruit characters. Iconic nature of Sangiovese shines.

Slight bit of natural funk on the nose, dusty red cherries on the palate. Good Sangiovese, which I imagine will do well in the cellar short term.
