Barrel sample. This was the clear standout in a wide range of Jadot reds today, even better than the only grand cru served Clos Vougeot. Round, complete, and elegant with juicy fruit and impeccable balance.

Tasting at Domaine Louis Jadot w/ Frederic: Shows more power and distinct delineation vs the ESJ and LSJ. Having said that this is also holding plenty of power and complexity in reserve. So much rich fruit and meatiness/spiciness potential. 93-94+

Deep and complex PN aromas. Richer and softer and more harmonious than the Lavaux St. Jacques, with more spices and complexity.

Wednesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Louis Jadot, Faiveley, and Bernard Moreau (Cote d'Or): Tasted at Jadot, alongside Lavaux St. Jacques. Another step up over the Lavaux in the next glass. Black and red cherry throughout with good+ intensity and density, and especially good balance and harmony. Very good potential, 2028 forward, 92-93 points.
