Medium pale lemon. Pronounced intensity of stone fruit and tropical fruit and some hint of vanilla. Dry, high acidity, high alcohol and full body. Pronounced flavour intensity. Outstanding wine with fantastic aromas of stone fruit and tropical fruit. Perfectly balanced between fruit concentration, acidity and alcohol. The wine has a lot of concentration, intensity and complexity. The finish is long and the wine is a perfect example of an outstanding wine from Viognier grape.

By the glass from a freshly opened bottle at Willi’s Wine Bar , Paris . Round, rich, exotic touches ripe mango and melon , less focused and more a rich round much of a fruity edge . Good 89

Brass yellow. Peach with alcohol. Ripe mango. Rich on the palate, some more baked plum and more peach. Some spices ala coriander seed. Finishes on alcohol rather than acid. Best quite chilled. Tried to match it with food that complemented, chanterelle gnocchi day one, and white pizza day three. This reminds me in the broader sense more of an begian trappist beer than another wine.

Aromatic nose with pure, ripe peach together with pear, pineapple, honeysuckle, beeswax and touches of grated ginger and nutmeg. Weighty and delicious on the palate with a some grip and a long, toasty peach finish. High alcohol but you'd barely know it. Personally don't see a reason to cellar this for longer but may result in something interesting!

Peach, honey, some minerals. Previous years had a bigger taste explosion, but still very nice wine. Perhaps wait a few years for the next one to drink.

Tasting Ground official tasting, 2020 Condrieu (Oinoscent): Vines on crumbly and granitic soil, with mica and schist, on a 3ha single site with south/south east facing exposure. Average age of vines 60yo, yielding about 35hl/ha. Fermentation regime: 1/3 of the production in stainless steel and 2/3 in wooden vats. The wine matures for 12 months with regural stirring of the lees followed by racking. The wine is then preserved on its lees for a year before bottling. -//- Higher intensity in the nose, more vanilla, ripe fruit, green apple, peach and apricot, a beautiful green fruit layer, everything in balance, a few crushed raw almond and hazelnut. The wine is clear, with pale lemon color, and thick legs. On the nose the wine is clean, with medium plus aroma intensity of tropical fruits, lemon, lemon zest, honey suckle, melon, peach, apricot, mineral notes, white flowers blossom, banana. On the palate the wine is dry, with medium plus acidity, medium body, medium plus alcohol, medium plus flavor intensity of ripe white tropical fruits, honey suckle, honey, sweet white spices, mineral notes, banana, green apple, passion fruit. The wine is of an excellent quality, due to its complexity, length, depth and great acidity. It is appealing and generous at time of tasting, but can also benefit from further aging.

Young and tight with marks of green fruits, apricot and dried pineapple. There are hints of citrus and stones as well. Rich and fat texture, good volume and depth. Great Condrieu from my favorite grower. Will be better in 5 years and last for 15+.
