A textbook NZ SB, with notes of Gooseberry, Grapefruit, and Grass leading the way. There's a bit of heft here and it's well made, but is tiring to drink, even on a hot summer patio afternoon.

Friday Night Brown Bagger (R&R): Double blind. Opens with an odd chemical note- it reminded me of a rubber eraser, but others thought petroleum refinery. In any event, it was a bit off-putting and certainly seemed out of place. Stone fruit on the palate- tastes much better than it smells. While one often finds diesel and stone fruit in riesling- this wasn't it. No guess, and given what this ended up being when it was unveiled, it's a safe assumption this was not a representative bottle. Put in the lineup in honor of R&D's upcoming vacation. (R&R)

Clear pale lemon; clean medium plus nose of ammonia and zingy lemon; dry; medium plus acidity; medium alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter and follows nose; medium plus finish; drink now; decent wine; crisper and less intense than many NZ Sauvignon Blancs; for the price point I’d prefer more intensity

Very extremely Green and intense in aroma and flavor. I rarely taste a wine like this … maybe underripe and over pressed adding over green notes and press fragments to the experience. Some might find it interesting or fun but I don’t enjoy 2 tons of gooseberries dropped on my head. Flavors of gooseberries , green pine, lime zest, and course pitty bitterness. Drinkable if you haven’t had recent dental work…. Just not for me and maybe others.

By the glass at the BA Lounge , LHR. Last glass in the bottle. Soft, light but in no way poor or thin. Textbook in many ways of the grassy , asparagus feel of SB , light if any oak. Good wine. 89

Pale, clear greenish yellow in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of grapefruit, apples, passion fruit & mango with overtones of lemongrass & floral notes with stony, flinty & minerals. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of citrus of lemons/limes & white grapefruit & apples with stony & minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present & may develop slightly further with additional aging.

Fresh and a really well made wine for summer evenings. Notes of passion fruit, lime, mangoes on the palate. The nose matches the palate with whiffs of citrus, minerality and a hint of grassiness.
Great wine to have with fish, really love this Sauvignon Blanc.

Fairly dry. Scents of rubber, grass, green apple. Medium light body. Not too sweet. Little bit of floral honey on aftertaste. Would try again!
