Excellent. Superb and substantial version of sparkling shiraz. 13.5% alc. Colour: deep black berry Bouquet: sweet rich blackberry, blueberry and plum fruit, spice, boot polish, leather, some yeast character Palate: like bouquet, slightly metallic, very full bodied and flavoured, very dry long clean finish November 2019

This tastes exactly as advertised: Rich, almost porty in flavor and texture, with gobs of black fruit, gravelly minerality, and a sappy finish. Basically a carbonated Shiraz sans structure or complexity. There's no shame in liking this style but I'm good with one glass.

Drank this last night with our pre-Thanksgiving dinner...and just a bit disappointed. Lots of dark and black fruits. Petillance was weak. Still like it, but was hoping for more.

Friends of Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra Wine Tasting (Philadelphia, PA): Deep color, full dark berry nose, and rich body rule here. Lightly structured with a quick dissipating mousse, but classic Aussie Shiraz flavor profile of big dark red and black berries. Great QPR at $16, and a real crowd favorite with entreé and dessert.

This wine perplexed me. At room temp it tastes like port. Cooled down it tastes like shiraz pop, if that makes sense. If you let this sit in the glass for 10-15 minutes it tastes like shiraz. A full bodied sparkler, but is just a shiraz with carbonation. ($6)

Deep color, full dark berry nose, and rich body rule here. A bit short on structure and lighter on the mousse than I prefer, but still a good classic Aussie sparkling Shiraz. Great value for the money, though more for the crowd than the connoisseur (see Ulithorne's offering for that). Gut rating.

Interesting. First sparkling red I've tried. Lots of jammy fruit, blueberries and blackberries. A little one-dimensional in that respect. Dark purple mousse. Wasn't totally sold on this one.

Impressive. Nice shiraz nose and palate with berries but perhaps lacking in spice. The bubbles gave the wine a lighter feel than normal shiraz. Interesting and good.

Excellent, a bit sweet, medium to heavy body, dark, not super-sophisticated but very enjoyable! Our go-to sparkling Shiraz. Really good.

Off dry grape juice, alcohol, and bubbles. Not to be overthought as there's nothing to it. Essentially Aussie Lambrusco, and a likely crowd pleaser.

Sparking mix between a Kir Royal and Godiva Chocolate. It could be an interesting pre dessert wine

Very good QPR, again better than higher priced bottles of Sparkling Shiraz. If you're looking for a Sparkling Shiraz, seek this one out.

This Sparkling shiraz bested a pricier 2001 Galah and 2003 E&E Sparklers at a much lower qpr.
