Notes as my last bottle last month, but this bottle has the depth of fruit I was looking for. Tasting notes as the last bottle but this one just deeper and just another point higher....sooo good! This bottle was the most 'filled out' of the 3 I had. Maybe it's just a late bloomer?

Pretty classic Dusi on the nose and palate. Another steady Turley Zin. Very consistent elements, taste profile with dark red zin fruit, riveting acidity, pepper and black tea. Very nice with pepperoni pizza and red pepper flakes.....slightly better than the last bottle but still lacks some depth of fruit.

Fourth time tasted. Tasted alongside 2019 Ueberroth, our two favorite zins. As with the previous bottle, a perfect zin for our taste! Dark ruby, slightly translucent but less so than Ueberroth. The aroma is more pronounced, with sweet red berries with vanilla caramel overtones, hint of cotton candy. Full-bodied flavors, red and black fruits, rich and smooth, no significant tannins. High alcohol but not too hot on the palate. Very long aftertaste. Just what we look for in a great zinfandel. Ueberroth was also outstanding but a bit more reserved and with more of the darker fruits. Both wines opened more the second night, which has been a consistent feature of many Turley zins. Ric

Tasted at a neighbors party, maybe an hour slow ox. In a real long time since I've had any Turley, and while I generally don't enjoy Zin's, I now recall why I enjoy these. There's a bit of pepper to let you know what you're drinking, but this is in no way overpowering and could pair with a variety of foods.

For my taste, as great as zinfandel can be! We go back and forth between Dusi and Ueberroth for our favorite zins. There can be bottle variation but this one has it all. The color is dark purple and opaque. Extremely viscous, with very slow "legs". Powerful aromas of predominantly raspberries, with some cherries and blackberries mixed in. Big fruity flavors to match, but remarkably balanced, with tannin and acidity present but well hidden behind the fruit. Some sweetness in the flavors, which carries through to an incredibly long aftertaste. Despite its high alcohol, it does not come through as being too hot. Very drinkable now. Interestingly, I would have rated it 96 the first night but it opened up fully the second night to earn my 100. I plan to drink our five other bottles in the next year. Ric
Opened two bottles on successive evenings. The first was very nice but one-dimensional, didn't have the fresh fruity "zing" we like. The second bottle was much better, had a more translucent ruby color, more fresh fruits in the nose and palate. However, to our taste we love zins very fresh and fruity, so this is already getting beyond our peak. We'll drink the rest of our '18s soon and move on to the '19s. Ric
92 tops for this one.....nice fruit but not the class or depth of fruit of a few of my other fav Turley zins. Good from the pnp but improves a tad over 1-2 hours. Disappeared fast around friends......

Excellent cuvee. And for those lesser reviews, remember guys and gals you have to serve at a temperature around the 60 degree mark. And if you don't believe me, do a side by side comparison and I'm sure you will agree that Turley Zin tastes best when slightly chilled. I popped and poured but you could decant or leave uncorked for 30 minutes as well.
This cuvee in my glass had well balanced delicious smooth tastes galore of tobacco and mint engulfed in juicy flavors of red fruit and Turley-ish spices. Both in the nose and in the mouth, with lingering, ever-present aftertaste that stays with you for 60 seconds plus. I don't know how it can get better but I have 5 more bottles to answer that question. Went great with homemade sausage and ricotta and mozzarella cheese pizza.
Thanks Larry and crew.

Pnp at restaurant. Initial impression was closed or maybe just not that interesting - let it sit for 30 or 45 min until steaks came and enjoyed it more. A decent Turley but not great. I'll try my other bottle down the road a bit.

15.4% abv. Medium-dark ruby, very aromatic. Raspberry, red cherry, baking spice and white pepper. Good depth, excellent length, very well balanced. Accessible now, this is a beautiful Paso Zin. Should continue to evolve well over the next several years.

Very rich brambly and slightly earthy nose along with strawberry and dark berry flavors. It's a pretty robust wine yet has finesse and a delightful finish.

More tea and less fruit than I associate with Paso Robles. Well made and very good.

Sappy boysenberry, brambly raspberry, white pepper and black tea. Rich and satisfying. Little signs of alcohol. Great Zin.
Even better on day 2.

Great cocktail wine aliso worked well with some spare rips. Another year or so would help the Oak better integrate.

Great potential. For my palate it needs another year or two to develop. A lot of red fruit in this one.

Solid Turley Zin, with the usual compelling dark berry fruit, but lacks a bit of the usual Dusi character, particularly the dusty quality.
