One of my favourite glasses of Chablis. Pale straw colour in the glass, but some hints of colour there. Attractive nose of peach and citrus with just a hint of wood in there. Well balanced on the palate, with a surprising amount of butterscotch to take the edge of the minerality. One of the best things about this wine is the finish, which goes on and on. Recommended

13% alcohol by volume. Pale gold color with transparency. Delicious white fruit notes (apple and pear) with little wood influence. Smooth tasting with excellent balance. Exhilirating with a mineral freshness and vivacity and pleasing fruit. May become one of my wines of 2012. I had with baked chicken, chunks of portabella mushrooms and asparagus. It would also pair with clams or halibut or sole. My routine is to have two glasses of wine most evenings with dinner (sometimes one glass before or after dinner and the other during the dinner.) This was so easy to drink that I was tempted to keep going beyond the second glass (bud didn't.) One bottle remaining.

This bottle was no very good. My wife who is not particularly discriminating said it was awful. I think it was oxidized but not sure why it was so bad.

EWG: Young Chablis & Old Cabs (Noir Food & Wine, Pasadena, CA): Very tight initial with hints of sulfur this gave up some smokey aromatics later along with some caramel. A bit richer and bigger than the other two as expected but not overtly. In fact I was surprised at just how lean this was for 06.Clean though a bit chunky with air and more smoke. This needs a year or two more in my estimation. Nicely done.

Lemon, white fruit (apple and pear), voluminous as you may expect from a vintage like 2006, but good tension, mineral and long. Nice surprise.

Had it with Fruit de Mer with two of its brothers
Steel minerality, crisp, fresh
A decent offering from this great cru - nothing amazing though for the price

Noir: Very dry, chalky rocks, lite on feet; dry chalk finish; pure white minerals

EWG - Cafe Noir: A good amount going on with this. More on the slightly stinky and slightly funky side. I very much enjoyed this.

surprisingly mediocre! all lemon, very one dimensional upon opening, only deteriorated from there.

nice and clean, with a good midpalate bolus of fruit.

In some ways similar to Fourchame. But more concentration, very complex with good length. This will require patience.
