They've been making this Sauvignon Blanc since 1982, so I guess it's classic Napa Sauvignon Blanc although now they source from other areas outside of Napa in addition to their estate Napa Sauvignon Blanc with a bit of Semillon (7%) like in Bordeaux. This wine has ripe melon and tropical fruit with a bit of savory notes and vanilla. It has a creamy fuller feel compared to most Sauvignon Blanc (at least outside California). Although most of it is aged in stainless steel, 8% is aged in new oak with 5 months on lees. That's what gives this wine more body and creaminess, but I still want more acidity. It's medium acid at best but for me it lacks the crispness I like in Sauvignon Blanc.

Pale golden yellow in color. Forward, fragrant & attractive nose of fresh citrus fruits of lemons/limes, apples & peach with overtones of floral & lemongrass, stony & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty fruit flavors of lemons/limes, apples & stone fruits with lemongrass, stony/earthy & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present and may develop with an additional year of aging.

This possesses a quiet energy that is just fantastic. So elegant and toned down for California SB. Refreshing notes of candied pineapple, passion fruit, and citrus, wonderful tension, and perfect balance. Long, pithy finish. A joy to drink.

Simple, a touch flat, I like a bit more acid. A faint hint of oxidation, not helping its cause. Poor QPR compared to other grocery store SB. Lacks fruit.

From 375 ml, "North Coast" designation. Notes of lemongrass and Fuji apple with hint of burnt matchstick and faint musky suggestion of cat urine. Fine with seafood and poultry; freshened a bit with air, best enjoyed midway between refrigerator and room temperature.

Duckhorn's 2021 North Coast Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from Sonoma County (54%), Napa Valley (45%) and Mendocino (1%). A blend of 93% Sauvignon Blanc and 7% Sémillon, it is a pale yellow wine with an attractive aromatic profile of lime zest, honeydew, pineapple and freshly cut grass. Light-bodied, crisply acidic and without any heat from its 14.1% alcohol, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. Eight percent of this wine was fermented in new French oak (with the remainder in stainless steel); as such, there is a component of wood. Fortunately, the wood is judiciously apportioned, adds complexity and does not overwhelm the wine's bright fruit. Solid on the mid-palate, it ultimately concludes with an energetic, medium-length finish. Bottled under screwcap, this has a rapidly-dissipating spritz upon opening but has no reductive sulfur notes. Enjoy it at any time over the next couple of years. Drink now-2025.

Very enjoyable Sauv Blanc. Mineral notes with floral overtones. A pleasant finish that is a little abbreviated. This wine is ready to drink now and over the next couple of years.

Easy to drink and good balance and fruit and acidty. It has the typical Sauvignon blanc. On the mid palaet you get notes of cantipolte, lemon and yuzu. An excellent wine to drink by itself or as a crowd pleaser. Please pair it with sea food, salad or like I did with good Sushi.

Another Cali SB.... On nose: lime and kiwi fruit. On palate: above flavours noted, with high mineral content and greenish pineapple , as well as green pear and sea salt notes, some oak and bracing acidity on this very young wine....not bad, but at $38.00 a bottle in Vancouver, will not buy again.....this producer's reds are expensive as well, but very good.

Underwhelming and disappointing at $25 USD. Pale lemon color, medium plus body. Chunky, and rounded, low acidity and a very short finish. Mixed tropical fruits: pineapple, melon, and guava; ripe peach, ruby red grapefruit. Lack of acidity leaves this slightly unbalanced and unappealing. Pass.

On the nose, citrus, pineapple, apple orchard. Taste of citrus, tropical fruits, and pear. Light and crisp. Best served chilled and then warmed in glass.
Late Jun 2022 at “Grill 23”: medium yellow color; boquett of gooseberry, peach and passion fruit; on the palate with a slight fresh acidity accompanied by a mellow, quite alcoholic texture.

Sauvignon Blanc "blended with Semillon to add depth and complexity." I do not taste Sauvignon Blanc. Oppressively weighty mineral Semillon dominates. Some may appreciate clunky glycerin and leaden concentration and discover more than I find. Screw cap.

This was nice. It found that balance I enjoy in this grape between acid/tart and creamy/fruit. Drink it up.

Slight limestone on the pallete, a bit too sweet for my taste, lack of acidity.
But easy too drink nonetheless.
