Floral nose with Blackberry pepper and tar. A little astringent but enjoyable. Rustic in style. Black olive, soy and basil on the finish. This is a little boozy and hot. Not too bad though. Drink now.

This wine has evolved in to rather nice CDP. The large amount of grenache does indeed move it to the lighter side of most CDP's but in this case it seems to work well. I thought it was very good.

Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of aspirin, lavender, berries and light notes of anise. Flavors of licorice, berries and a bit of plum. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink into the medium term.

Easter Wine (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had tobacco and wet earth, plum, and some burnt wood. The palate was soft, and had plum and earth, and a good tobacco finish.

One of the more disapointing wines in this lineup. Pretty ripe. Med+ body. Strange alcohol component. A little odd, with a slightly bitter finish. Better then my note, but still not good.

The blend for this Châteauneuf is grenache dominated (90%), with small elements of syrah and mourvedre. There are very deep, if rather simple black fruits on the nose. A nice warming palate with good fruit balance.

the drinking window says 2015, but I did not think this was over the hill. Enjoyable, grenache based wine. Light.

Plutôt agréable mais un peu léger, peut-être fatigué mais quand même belle présence en bouche, bien typé.

Solide, un peu tuilé, équilibré, subtil mais pas nécessairement charpenté pour l'avenir.
