Very similar experience to SDRs note from a few years back. So much freshness and there’s some secondary development. as a result that kiss of caramel sweetness shows up, which for me put it in a perfect spot. I don’t like my champagne older than this

It’s mellowing but not fading and still my favorite vintage for pink Cris. Velvety mouth feel from thousands of tiny tiny bubbles. That gorgeous Cristal fragrance of raspberry and bright red cherry. Nice depth, creamy, so easy to swallow. How much longer can it keep the magic going?

This is Cris Rosy at its best, bursting with juicy strawberry and red cherry fruit. Good mousse, deep salmon color, fragrant. Perfect acidity and balance. More concentrated that the usual delicate and polite Cristal style, especially in Rosé, where it can be hard to distinguish from the blanc. Just stunning.

Wine Workshop: An evening with Cristal (Atera - 77 Worth Street in NYC): The first rose of the tasting and my first time with Cristal Rose I think. It's interesting - only slightly darker shade than the standard wine. And almost a bit more organgish than pinkish I'd say. Still, the red fruits come through quite nicely and what surprised me is they're darker in style (think like a red currant or a red plum). Perhaps driven by the saignee method? Bubbles quite nice and that balance of flavors which I associate more with red wine and having the bubbles is fun. Good wine.

As good as the white ‘96 Cristal is, the Rosé takes things up to another level. Incredibly elegant, just a kiss of strawberry top note and fabulous balance. Just the slightest edge of color, which would not even be noticeable if it were not side-by-side with the white version. Nicely mature, very energetic.

Greg's Birthday Blowout - Part 1: Stunning rosé champagne. Aroma of wild strawberry wafts immediately from the glass and never fades. Very light color, powerful mousse. Creamy, yet surprisingly powerful. Great energy. Could be drunk alone with great pleasure or with food (we drank it at Nobu halfway through the meal). Endlessly interesting and seductive.

Fick det blint och såg inte att det var en rosé. Var inne på Krug 1988 för den var mycket Krug-lik på näsan och hade en fantastisk syra.

A fresh gem. I guessed Cristal Rose 2002. So fresh and elegant. Starting to reach his peak. I liked it from the first time having it 2015. 98-99

The Ultimative 1996 Champagne Tasting with Richard Juhlin (Behrens am Kai in Düsseldorf 1 star restaurant): I had one zip and I knew this can only be this wine. IT is the defintion of elegance, finesse and aristrocracy. Fruity, forrest strawberries with a extrem long finish. At his peak but will stay there for long time 98

I thought this bottle a bit odd, and didn't feel it showed well. One drinker disagreed, but the consensus was that it was a poor bottle.

Ph's celebration dinner. Pale colour. Taste lingered forever. Very good with tuna tartare and on its own.
