Given a 3 hour decant. Really clean and refined flavours of red berries, cherry, cherry pit, and rose hip. This is rounded out with some subtle pine resin, liquorice, and nutty notes which add a lovely layer or two of complexity. Bright acidity and minerality on the palate, which is really silky, and finishes with a solid tannic grip. My first 2020 Nebbiolo, and this is just wonderful!

This wine is clearly one of the best Lange nebbiolos I have ever tasted. Complex and balanced it's easily better than many entry barolos. Highly recommended.

A step down from the 2019 in my opinion. A bit less tension and weight. Still nice purity of fruit and freshness. Gained a little more after a few hours, but not a whole lot.

Clean and pure, slightly linear, bright red cherry flavors, flowers, hints licorice and leather. Upon opening a bit yeasty but clears with time. Fresh acidity as virtually always in LNs. Good intensity but not quite as memorable as some other recently tasted Langhe Nebbiolos.

Outstanding. A lot of Langhe Nebbiolos are advertised as “baby Barolos” but this one actually deserves the title. Beautiful cherry, strawberry fruits on the nose. Rose petal. Some baking spice. Delicate, perfumed aromas and a medium to long finish. Maybe 30 minutes of air is all that’s needed now.

Earthiness, tar, red berries and hint of perfume on the nose. Taste of mostly red berries and rose hip and also quite spicy. The wine was closed on the first evening and on the second day the wine was better and had opened up. Medium body, medium acidity and medium+ tannins.

Tasted at the cantina with Giuseppe Cavallotto. This spent almost 2 years in large Slavonian oak botti. 14.5% ABV. Slightly translucent medium to dark garnet color. Very fragrant with floral and spicy notes and mineral undertones. It also shows clean red fruit, licorice and evergreen needles on the nose. Palate shows high acidity and medium(+) tannin. It is very chewy and dense with lots of minerals, tart cherry and a saline finish. So well balanced, with lots of energy. Elegant and with good depth. One of the best Langhe Nebbiolo's I've had. I think This class of wines is one of the beneficiaries of climate change. This is truly a "baby Barolo" from great estate terroir (Bricco Boschis). This can probably develop favorably for a decade or more.

Wonderful wine. Balanced, complex, medium+ body, medium acidity. Earth, forest floor, ripe berries, truffles, leather. Signature langhe notes but deeper and with more ripe fruit than most, without becoming hot. Very good value.

Two Months in Roma; 9/6/2022-10/28/2022 (Rome, Italy): From the wine list at Emma Pizzeria, Rome. We tried to order the Burlotto Langhe but our server recommended we would prefer the Cavallotto. This was drinking really well, silky mouthfeel, red fruited and earthy nice balance. Great with the pizzas. Will pick this up again if we see in the store.

Atlas Wine Store Italian Industry Tasting (2019 Barolos): Simple, bright red fruit, slight depth, nice and basic especially price considering. Drink this while waiting for the Barolo to unravel and develop. 89-90

Really nice and well balanced. Maybe a tad bit lighter than the 2019.
