  • Next up was this pair of Rousseaus (non-blind) - this '21 Gevrey village & the '19 Chambertin. Greeted almost immediately by a beautiful/perfumy bouquet of red-berries, spice & some roses. Very easy (perhaps too easy) on the palate, this was extremely pure & lifted with more red-berry fruits. As opposed to the Chambertin, this definitely seemed a tad light-footed, but nonetheless, a very pretty wine and most enjoyable!

  • 2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Barrel Tasting - Already very expressive, beautiful delicious black fruit, blackberry, blackberry juice, very floral, smoke, light caramel, sweet spices and earth. Very good concentration, beautiful layered, especially at the village level, silky and fluid, excellent balance, perfect amount of acidity, earthy mineral, and a long generous sweet black fruit driven finish with a hint of smoke at the end. Truly excellent village wine that will show well upon release.
