Light watery yellow. A fascinating nose of different citrusses (lime, pomelo), some nettle and various other vegetal aromatics - even potatoes and green bell pepper. A very round (oxidative) mouthfeel full of everything: fruit, acidity and minerals intertwined into a complex sensation. Spices, lychee, pear and again vegetal greenness. Almonds, butter and mushrooms with grapefruit in the long aftertaste. Evolved in the glass rather favourably and interestingly. Absolutely wonderful wine that truly transcended the varietal aromatics!

Very expressive bouquet of flowers. A lot of fresh citrus and grass. Textbook SB. The oak is present, but well hidden. Still too young. Seeing the high scores here, I wonder if I missed something; wasn't focussed enough. The wine was imo very good, but not excellent enough to score well into the 90's.

Les Blancs de Pessac-Léognan @ my place (Netherlands): No formal notes: a freshly mowed lawn, gooseberry, a fresh and light mountainwine which was probably served to young. Well hidden oak, tasty but no real complexity yet. 16.5/20

I first had the wine at Carnivino located in the Palazzo in Vegas. The wine may have been one of the smoothest sauvignons I have ever had. It was wonderfully smooth with an amazingly power finish.

Why drink SB's from NZ? This defeats them with one hand tied behind its back.

Besta sauvignon sem ég hef smakkað. Citrus í flóknum ilmi. Langt og mikið eftirbragð. Silkimjúkt frá upphafi til enda.

Classic vegetal SB nose, lots more complex than the regular San Michele Appiano Sauvignon. Intense apricot on the palate. Good length. Liked it.
