  • I like the 2022 Duhart Milon; it is a little atypical to Duhart-Milon, as the fine-boned, mineral character typical to the estate has been transformed by the vintage into something more fullish, fleshy, and succulent. Yet the richness of the black fruit, alongside a delicate spiciness, still seems kept within the appropriate boundaries.

  • Lead pencil, spice, red currants, flowers, and dark cherries crowd into the nose. On the palate, the wine is elegant, refined, soft, and pure. There is density along with vibrance, spice, lift, and width. The finish, with its blend of red fruits, cocoa, orange rind, spice, espresso, and plums lingers, which is a good things as you as much of this on your palate as possible. The wine is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot. 13.5% ABV, 3.9 pH. Drink from 2026-2050. 94-96 Pts.

• En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Six (Bordeaux): Medium minus intensity aromas of muted black hued fruits, sweet spice, a little baked quality here as well as a touch of alcohol prickle. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of woody textured, black hued fruits are equally non-delineated on the palate, a sense of denseness and weight, alcohol less obvious in the mouth but still present. Hmm.
