This wine to me is way over oaked. The winery says it was in oak for 8 months. To me that means the fruit is reslly weak for only eight months in probably used french oak. There is a bit of strawberry and earthiness, but it is over powered by the tree branch exploding in my mouth. ($11)

Very nice, warm, spicy, surprisingly high alcohol (14.5%) is pretty well handled. Not usually my kind of thing but on a cold day outside this felt almost like mulled wine. Still, for £9, this is a pass for me.

Very Nice dark deep ruby in color...light to the nose strawberries and flowers, palate was sweet but finish was disappointing. Thought I would take a chance on finding a nice $10 Pinot -- well this is a $10 Pinot.

Crystal wine sales tasting. I wonder why this is called a "Limited Selection" - the name it tends to give a promise of quality that the wine certainly did not have. The nose was vegetal and stemmy, with some flowery hints perrking out beneath the greeness. The palate was incongruously sweet though, some fruit, but really cotton candyish from attack to finish. Rather artificial tasting. Limited in price maybe, but not impressive even then.

Light red color, light berry nose. Light to medium body, red berry and strawberry on the palate with decent acidity but the finish is candied and artificial.

Wines In A Line: October - Pinot 'round the world; 10/13/2009-10/20/2009 (chez moi): Ruby red. Pomegranate and bright red fruit on the nose. A bit tart in the mouth. Tannins greater than acidity. I got a touch of bitterness on the finish. Tied for second place in the group's overall asessment.

There are nice pure red fruits on the nose. On the palate, it’s nice, open and approachable. An uncomplicated pinot noir. But with a good character.

A powerful pinot with abundant cherry and raspberry. Smooth tannins and more fruit on the finish.
