This was very ripe and a bit stewed, not very focused. There was a but of underlying complexities, licorice, earth, but not enough to make this balanced and compelling. Bad QPR.

good color, nose is garage floor, taste like tooth picks wood, old fruit with a muted sour finish, one glass, made be thirst for a refreshing cold beer

consistent with prior notes. Very solid Pinot, but the tart/sour edge keeps this from an outstanding rating...not worth the release price, but a decent selection at $30-40.

great color, garnet tones. nose on this is the part that misses the mark, I get almost nothing but herbal tones, in the mouth the cherry arrives, tart and dry but tasty (letting it breathe certainly helps). If this was a $20-30 wine I would be very satisfied. Bought this at auction for more than it is worth (full release price)

This has some nice balance and tart acidity. It is only medium complex and doesn't stand out in any particular regard. I didn't like this as much on night 1 or 2 as the normal cheaper Reserve label, which seemed more interesting Day 2 than this did. Sightly disappointing, even at the closeout price. Terrible QPR at full retail. Just doesn't have the depth or interest to hit 90 points for me.

Excellent, structured pinot noir. Very rich and full bodied, but structured enough that it seems elegant and restrained, while being voluptuous at the same time. very nice bottle of wine, but kind of pricey.

Wine 5 of Central Coast Pinot Tasting: Bouquet of canned cherries and light spiciness. Velvety mouthfeel with bright, tart berry flavors. The acidity and tannins are well balanced.

nose - cherry syrup, oak
mouth - rather closed. seems more highly oaked than the '06 reserve
