Much better than two years ago. Classic aged Riesling nose. Great height, kerosene, lemons and lychees. Mouth of lemon meringue, guava with a hint of caramel apple. Good acid on a green apple skin finish. Thought this wouldn’t age so well - I was wrong- May still develop over next five years or so.

Redolent diesel, asphalt, motor oil, sea salt, and applesauce. Love it. The fruit is spread out in the mouth, and maybe getting a little tired. Age has done nice things to this wine; there is an elevation of complexity and secondary character. This should be consumed fairly soon though given the fruit.

straw color indicating its age; petrol and lime on nose. Most notable in this bottle was the licorice finish. Acid and fruit nicely balanced, but will tire in 12-18 months. Drink up

I like this; sightly muted nose opens up with petrol and slight citrus notes on swirling. Mid-length palate with good depth of flavors; as commented elsewhere, closer to Oz than anywhere else. acidity nicely balanced with greenish fruit. Tempted to rate it higher - will see after longer opening

Medium golden color with a light to medium texture. Very pungent, aromatic nose of rubber and petrol. Unlike some prior comments, I don't notice that the fruit seems to be fading, although it doesn't seem to be as crisp as I remember from last year; it seems creamier, it's probably just the evolutionary process at work. Still plenty of apple and citrus flavors that linger a while on the back of the palate.

Wow...what a wonderful bottle of dry Riesling with typical aroma profile of petrol, green apple and lime. Light in texture with plenty of citrus on the palate culminated by finish that seems to last for minutes. This is my favorite Riesling either old world or new!

PnP to glass with immediate note. COLOR- a pale, bordering on pastel gold. NOSE- petrol, rubber balloon, cheep plastic toys, asian pear, and honeysuckle; neither too sweet nor explosive. PALATE- Granny Smith apple dominate the flavors atop a dry, crisp platform. Has a high acidity, but it's in balance. This is low to medium bodied with a moderate smoothness factor. The finish is the best, with a long sour apple - green Now 'n Later candy decay. If I try hard enough, I also pick up some rock salt and slate. A simple wine, but quite well done. I love how dry this is. This would go perfect with many summer foods. Crisp Salads for instance. I could see this adding some complexity in the coming 3-5 years as well. Great buy and I wish I had more, especially on days like Today @105F. 88+ pts.

C- Near water N- apple, pear T- Light-bodied, crisp acidity, near unripened apple/pear with some petrol qualities. Faint bitterness on the end. Very Alsatian in style with 0.4% RS, less than most US rieslings. Not sure how this will do with time without a bit more fruit.

Pale yellow. Nose of apple, lemon rind, burnt rubber. Crisp apple on the attack, high acidity, lemon on midpalate becomes increasingly sour, joined by petrol and rubber. Decent length finish but overly sour/bitter for me; lacks balance. Decent QPR. 87.

The nose is steely and slightly bitter, pear-driven with a vague hint of diesel. On the palate, though, it's all lemon. It has the same things I don't like about Pinot Grigio. Acidic to the point of sourness. With only 0.4% RS, a tiny hint more could have rounded this out, but it's a little mean right now. Quite disjointed. It doesn't have the softness or finesse to charm me, and it doesn't have the power or complexity to punch me in the gut. It's also mostly inoffensive. Wouldn't buy again at $13. Spectator's on crack with 91 points.

Had this with other wines for Thanksgiving. Decent acidity, but thought the flavors were a little muted and quite simple. Expected more from a riesling from Chehalem.

Very good, but boy I wish the low-end Trimbach rieslings were still available at a decent price... I miss those. Drier, more substantial than the Chehalems. Nonetheless, this was very nice with dinner and was clearly riesling as opposed to any other white varietal.

Fruit slightly off, again. Still delicious, but not what it was. Two bottles left, time to drink up!

Very dry and tart, but not overwhelmingly so with food. There's some body here and a touch of alcohol (slightly Alsatian). Decent, not great. $13

Surprisingly good for an inexpensive domestic Riesling. In the Alsatian style. Really intense green apple and citrus flavor; long finish.
