Fresh and airy on the nose, which shows a pronounced incense note above the fruit, which shows ripe and hints of the tropical, but stays controlled and focused, mostly. Good acidity, and an intensity that drives through the finish. The wine is not as detailed or nuanced as some, but it shows very well.

had on a golf trip, this wine surprised as it was very dense and rich, i expected the high acid which 2007 usually delivers, and this was much less bright than expected, still for it's style it was very nicely done, would pls some Cali chard drinkers but the richness wasn't oak-/malo-manufactured, not a rebuy and not surprising as folatieres isn't my favorite

Corked bottle. We were all surprised it had oxidized even with proper storage. The challenge in white burgundies and oxidation is evident. 3 of our 8 bottles from the tasting were corked.

Corked. We tasted 8 white Burgundies in one evening; all 5 bottles 2007 and older were corked or oxidized well past their prime. Lesson learned on older white Burgundies.

Knightsbridge Burgundy Tasting: New Releases (Northbrook, IL): Wine tasting. Floral nose with some orchard fruit as well.Flavors of apple and pears to start, then lemon peel on finish, accompanied by great minerality and acidity. A Burgundy it you like linear, crisp style, this wasn't as much a crowd favorite as it was a personal favorite today. Should age nicely.

taste: excellent tones of green apples, white fruits, mint and some bits of peach blossoms. Medium/high acidity shows itself on the palate and is very noticeable
overall: this is in need of some good sleep before it gets going. The acidity is powerful right now and the nose isn't offering up too much. Its showing a good base but is far from ready

nice bite on the palate, moderate bodied, with discreet touch of oak and lemony acidity on the finsih. This was complete, although understated and young. It needs 4 or 5 years but is already a very good wine.

The nose is limestone, almond torte and lemon/lime. Hints of toast. Soft, lanolin notes. Preserved lemons. Great creaminess balanced with crisp acid. Long finish of crisp, unripe peaches. Very nice.

A Weekend of Excess; 7/24/2009-7/25/2009 (Chicago/Northbrook, IL): Intense aromatics of lemon and lime peel, wet stone, and smokey fat. Palate was more lime than lemon with a wonderful core of minerality and fantastic acidity. A great note of salinity as well. Showing great, but obviously a bit young.

lovely palate weight and depth. honeysuckle, peach and a creamy mouth feel that is off set by classic minerality. vanilla and creme brulee with toasty oak. this will be a stunner when oak integrates. maturity 2017+

Tropical nose, vanilla, perfume, earthy. Awesome nose.
Thick viscous body, sweeter than I prefer. Very good.

OK, these whites just showed up. Best white yet.
