- Garnet color with slow forming legs. It's lacking fruit and has flavours of cloves and dusty with a light/medium body. Silky texture with a medium finish - Definitely a bit beyond its years but smoothness on second glass started to appear. The strawberry jam has become faint but nose still inviting. Serve a saucy Italian dish and enjoy the fading fruit.

Smokey nose, with also some mocha, is decent. But mouth is faded, not much fruit left. Finish somewhat short, lacking structure. Some oak tannins noticeable in the finish, particularly at cellar temperature. Would like to have experienced more acidity on the finish.

Camphor and strawberry on the nose; sour cherry and a jammy/raisiny note on the palate, with some drying tannins on the finish. This has good fruit up front and decent acidity at the finish, but not much in between. A bottle a few years ago was much fresher and better. It seems like the heat of the vintage is showing through more as the wine integrates -- not a good thing. If I had any more of these, I would drink them right away.

Doft av körsbär, hallon och plommon. Smaken domineras av körsbär och hallon. Vinet är i mitt tycke alldeles för tunt känns som utspädd saft med viss syra i. Vinet blir sedan bättre till maten men är fortfarande inget som får mig att gå igång. Drack det här vinet för över ett år sedan och hade liknande tankar runt vinet då.

Vinho foi decantado uma hora antes de degustar. Vinho de cor vermelho forte, ja com um certo tom alaranjado. No nariz demonstrou ter frutas vermelhas maduras, notas de madeira e chocolate, alem de um pouco de terra. No paladar se mostrou potente, encorpado. Bem equilibrado mas ainda com forte presenca de taninos. Poderia ser bebido nos proximos 5 anos tranquilamente. Mas na boca nao surpreendeu como demonstrou na cor e no olfato, por isso 89.

Great mouth feel, moderate finish, good fruit, and round tannins. Could use another 2 years of age. The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Black currant (cassis), Strawberry, Blackberry, and Mushroom.
It tastes like Red Currant, Blackberry, Raspberry, Raisin, and Black Pepper. The body is Medium/Full. The wine is textured Juicy. The wine finishes Medium.

Decanted for one hour - Lots of tart cherries and berries. Very juicy wine right now, with tannins still very present, but balanced. Drinks velvety smooth, but probably needs another few years in the cellar.

Drank from 375 @ TheGrape. Red-orange hue. Aromatics were subdued but the palate wasa clean and pure cherry fruit. The tannin seemed fine and moderate. 5+11+16+7

1993-2003 Brunello Tasting. Very good but still very young. At this point, it shows a lot of alcohol and big fruit up front, with a rich, warm finish. I would give it another 3-5 years in the cellar.

Overall drinking young with soft mouth feel with velvety tannins. Lovely young fruit flavors, predominately cherry with some blueberry. Decent tannic structure. Will be interesting to see how our other bottles do with some more years on them.

Had at Ravintola Mami in Turku, Finland. This had a very expressive nose of barnyard, plum and flowery scents like violets. I really like this kind of aroma! On the palate there were lots of tannins still and lots of black fruits as well. A full bodied wine that paired really nicely with fillet of lamb.

First very closed and tannic, after 40 minutes of decanting showed interesting a bit earthy and some berries nose, elegant balance and medium finish. Nice but not classic.

diskret stedstypisk duft av plommer/rosin, bark, jord, røyk, hint av lær; intens og velstrukturert smak som er preget av lang sødme inn, deretter fin syre. God fruktkonsentrasjon og ettersmak. Middels fyldig for appellasjonen. Alt i alt en litt forsiktig klassisk brunello som først og fremst kunne vært mer sjenerøs duftmessig. Mulig at den hadde kommet seg med noen år i kjelleren.

Bouquet: Distinctly barnyard the 1st time. 2nd time (newer bottle) it smelled of tire rubber. Flavor: No notes on flavor but it had good acidity and balance, smooth elegant tannins. Young, very well made. 5, 600 yen. Should improve and gain complexity in the bottle. A bit pricey.
