This was just a killer wine! One of the best Napa Cabs I have ever had. Great fruit without being jammy, dark dark purple. Nice vanilla on the nose, full rich but subtle body, soft tannin finish. I would love to hunt this wine down at almost any price!!

Great classic Napa Cab. Dark, dark purple. Great fruit, but hidden by soft tannins. I would definitely decant my next bottle 3 hours, as this was only beginning to hit its stride at 2.5 hour after opening.

The wine is packed with flavor. Dark fruit flavors along with dark chocolate. Tannins have fully matured and still have a nice grip while the fruits are ripe and call out to be enjoyed. This 2007 is ready to go and is drinking beautifully. Some age but undeniably a California Cab. Had with a N.Y. Strip steak. Just wonderful.

4PM. Tannins are definitely present, front and center for a 2007. Just poured into a decanter and keeping my fingers crossed that a 3-hour decant will suffice.

Seems like it was hard for any Napa Valley producer not to produce a high quality Cabernet Sauvignon in 2007. Most of the upper echelon ones are hitting full stride currently and appear to have the stuffing to drink well for at least another 5-7 years, and possibly beyond. I’ve enjoyed later vintages of the Vineyard 7&8, and this meets and exceeds all expectations!
Still displaying a youthful appearance of a deep purple color with a full body texture, this is still “in development” showing pronounced and generous aromas and flavors of cassis, black currant, blackberry, black cherry, black plum, vanilla oak, black coffee, notes of bell pepper, and black dried earth. Lots of gritty tannin and acid in the background providing a solid structural foundation to support further cellaring. No problem standing up to a chargrilled, medium rare ribeye steak. Long, long finish. Not seeing any signs of the fruit turning from fresh black to dried red, nor structure fading; leads me to believe this has a good 5-7 years of cellaring potential. Personal experience the last three years leads me to believe the 2007 Napa Cabs are just starting to hit full stride.

I loved it. The fruit comes out very well in the front and the structure is big with being overwhelming. If u want more fruit, drink now. If you like older flavors, sit on it. This wine will last - had 1.5l bottle with bbq lamb/chicken

A really nice, sexy wine right now and drinking great after 11 years. Blackberries, black cherries, and cassis on the fruit profile right up front. Creamy texture with loads of dark chocolate, earth, toasty oak, and black licorice notes. Nice length to this wine with soft tannins on the finish.

Agree with recent notes. Drinking incredibly well right now. Only negative is that the tannins are extremely drying making the finish a bit short. But aromas and palate are top notch.

Double Decant Needed. Absolutely, this was one hell of a fantastic California Cabernet. Inky, deep dark back fruit on the pour. The first inhale hit me with that familiar old world scent which was very unexpected. Desiccated dirt along with floral and graphite on the nose as well. A little bit of menthol hits the nose as well. Once the wine hit my palate, it was a cornucopia of tastes. Black stone fruits along with some berry and some cherry notes. Blueberry for sure along with mature stone fruit as well. The only negative I would give this wine is that it does not last long in the mouth as it dries up quickly. But boy oh boy, is it velvety and lovely while it's there. Simply fabulous.

One of the best cabs I’ve had in my cellar. Wish I had bought more. Smooth yet an abrupt dry finish. Drinkable all by itself but would be great with a steak as well.

Nice example of lush dark fruited Napa cab. Some oak driven earthy notes with tannins and acidity well integrated. Finish is a bit clipped but smooth. Fruit driven nose.

Very good with beef tenderloin but could be enjoyed alone. Medium body with ample fruit but a short finish leaves you wanting more. Dark fruit, along with crushed granite come through

Deep, dark ruby red color. Rich, dark nose. A fruity cab; not too complex. Tasty and enjoyable with or without food. Weak finish. Probably a good time to drink.

Beautiful nose with blue fruit and oak, more dark fruit, tobacco on palate with huge tannins. Much better after two hours. I agree that this wine has several years left.

Very dark purple color and good legs, with a very thin meniscus. On the nose: lots of blackberries and dark fruit and wood hints. On the mid palate - lots of blackberry, oak and tobacco. Tannins are not harsh, but definitely still there. Even though this wine is 9 years old, I think it is still evolving and could use 3-5 more years before drinking.

Dark fruit in the glass. Lovely fruit. Smooth tannins, working in the background. No mouth puckering whatsoever. Even Bobbie, who normally veers away from CA Cabs, loved it.

This was excellent. Purple and opaque with a tone of sediment -- likely the most fruit I've ever seen on a cork. The nose is rich dark fruit, tobacco and mocha. The tannins are round and the mouth feel is enveloping and thick. Palate is consistent with the nose. Dark fruit, raspberries and blackberries dominate the finish. 5+13+17+9=94

Nice deep dark berry nose. Inky/dark purple hue. Full body, smooth, nicely balanced, dark blue berries, oaky, twinge of vanilla, long finish. Great with food. Enjoy the bottle over a couple days.

Masculine and tight, with a firm tannic backbone, nice dark fruit, and a pleasing nose. Popped and poured, good but a little harsh at first (89.4 points). Along with a medium well, (cooked to perfection & delicious) N.Y. strip steak, fabulous! I must say, this wine is made for to enjoy with red meat. (90.6).

badly corked; replacement bottle generously supplied by the winery nose - rich dark fruit, cocoa mouth - silky , ripe rich dark berries, powerful in flavor, with tough slightly bitter tannins on the finish. long term potential. i'd hold this for a long time before drinking it.
