4th Saturday Annual Champagne Event (Sue & Mike's): Deep yellow color. Aromas of lemon oil, citrus and roasted nuts. Fine bead with softened acidity and flavors of cashew, sauteed apples, pineapple and- yes this is odd but certainly there- pork barbeque dry rub. Interesting, to say the least. It got better as it sat, with the spice rub qualities taking a back seat to the fruit.

Medium straw colour, healthy medium mousse & toasty aromas but with unexpected depth and length. Served 3 bottles with pre dinner canapes for 7 people (daughter's 13th birthday) and received very favourable comments - bit of a surprise only because I wasn't expecting too much. Still fresh enough to give confidence that it has a few years happy drinking ahead - will try again on her 18th and and compare with the Alfred Gratien 97's waiting for that event.

Pale color. Very fine mousse and bead. Notes of citrus, apple, fresh ginger and flowers. Has a waxy, creamy fruit character on the palate, almost Rhonish would be the best way I can describe it. Unique for certain, but very enjoyable. 89-91 pts, and will drink well for some time.

Corked. Unfortunately it was also my last bottle. We've been on a bad run lately, with 3 or 4 corked bottles in the last couple of weeks.
