Havana South Wine Club - Wines of Veneto (Havana South): Very interesting nose of cantal cheese and mushroom. Surprising that there's no oak given the earthier aromas (I've seen oak present this way in Cali chards, Stefania...). Palate. Notable lack of sweetness with an interesting character and a rather sauerkraut-y flavor and tartness. Light body, low alcohol, med+ acid, tart. Good and interesting. $14

quaffable, but forgettable. greenish-straw color in the glass. the nose smelled like a sherry fino (actually, the nose smelled like the sherry bodegas in jerez), which is not a good thing for me and my preferences. the palate did offer some pinot grigio flavors of apples, but these reminded me of bruised red apples that have been sitting on your kitchen counter for a few too many weeks. and the mouth was very flabby. i probably just waited too long to drink this, but it was certainly underwhelming.

San marino Seafood: Nice med. bod, rather generic white; vinous, low nose, not grt livliness to it, be decent like a pinot grigio! Bot at Wine connection, w/Johnny, Michael, Juliane,

Some richness underneath the PG flavors. Bright acidity on finish. But either way, this is a strange wine, with some odd notes I'm imaginining are coming from the late harvest Verduzzo. It's not bad, but a little odd.

Pungent nose. Green apple, pineapple, and strong mineral aromas. Hints of spice and nuts. Moderate levels of acidity, very fruity, good length, medium body, well-balanced, very juicy.

Carmel color. This wine sways more to a sparkling wine feel. Kind of like a Blanc de Nois Shramsburg. Good tang to this wine and the fruit is present but not overwhelming. The nose was kind of flat and I did not get much from it but a little grapefruit. The finish was long and the initial spices in the start lingered and were nice. Overall this wane did not have tons of flavors and was more even keeled. It was refreshing and enjoyable though.

Not too dry. Smooth finish. Not bad for the price and would buy again

This is my favorite standby Italian white. A clean, crisp, and fruity blend.

Assemblage intéressant de Pinot Gris et de verduzzon. Je m'attendais à quelquechose d'un peu plus épicé. Bel équilibre mais rien de remarquable.
