Popped and poured with bone-in filet mignon on the grill. This has a mix of blackberry and tobacco on the nose, with much more fruit coming through. The taste was way more primary, with just very ripe fruit on the palate.

Tasted blind with 3 other Washington State 2006 cabs. Very fine wine, maturing slowly and elegantly and actually drinking really fine right now. Full tasting notes at:
Enthralling aromatically, revealing a host of plum, orange, black pepper and brown sugar scents ensconced in wood spices. Beautiful cherry, cranberry and blueberry flavors greet the palate on the attack. Full acidity offers great structure and depth.

Coffee aroma and heavy dark fruit taste. Very nice - at the price of $34, the QPR is below average, but not terrible. I would be interested in having more of this to see how it develops over the years, as it shoud last awhile.

Nice aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant jam against a background of sweet oak follows through a echoing a rich mouthfull of jammy fruits and fine tannins. Developed very nicely in the glass w/ some spice notes popping in and out. One of Washington's better and very consistent producers. Cabernet,Cabernet i lust for you in your sexy exuberant adolescence, long to enjoy the ripe fullness of your sophisticated middle age and have come to appreciate your warmth, wisdom and witty repartee as you consolidate your fortunes with age and grace. I think I've been able to say that about a few well put together bottles over the years.

This has matured so well, lots of dark fruit, cocoa, tobacco and the tannins have softened up nicely.

Popped and poured. Great aroma of blackberry and plum. Taste is pure and smooth going down, with dark plulm and some hints of cocoa and tobacco.

Winery: Rich, int. oak van., but restrained nonetheless; complex plum, moss-forest; babacco, richer, lower t’s; plum, orange, blk peper, wood spices, full acidity. Will age.
