This was not purely dry but had balace of acid such that the sweetness did not cloy. But it also not sharp with acid, so that's balance for you. Apples of the golden delicious variety, maybe a little Asian pear, a little chalkiness, but pretty straight on the fruit side. First whiff was a little gas station smell (petrol is pretentious, imo) but that blew off for some mild gardenia and tuberose notes. Very hapy with the value I received.

Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of diesel, apricot, brown spices and flowers. Flavors of cherries, lemon and Granny Smith apples. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink over the short term.

Light yellow. Cantaloupe melon, lemon, pear and apple aromas. Lemon, tart green apple, pear and a hint of melon. Nicely integrated acidity perfectly compliments the fruit with a medium/long finish.

Pale yellow color. Pear, green apple and citrus aroma. Green apple, melon and lemon on the palette. Very appealing bright acidity on a medium long finish. Paired nicely with mildly spicy Chinese dishes.

Similar to my previous note: Pale yellow. Nose of white fruits. Palate of honeydew melon, tangy lemon. Dry. Very balanced and enjoyable. This has not changed much in a year.

Memorial Day weekend tasting, 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir barrel samples (Northern Willamette Valley): Smells of a cold melon. Very smooth in the mouth, with very pretty melon, lemon, and nut flavors. Very nicely integrated acidity on the finish, expressing some green apple. Lacking a bit on the nose, but it pulls it all together on the mid-palate and finish. I think I enjoy this a bit better than the 2006. 89+

Memorial Weekend Wine Tasting (Chehalem Mountains & Carlton, OR): Honeydew melon, not too sweet, but uninteresting to me.

Pleasant and in balance but not as vibrant as when I tasted it at the winery back in August.
