Dark purple color, with wild berry, blueberry, and an herbal note on the nose. The palate shows plush ripe blueberry, plum, and currant notes, with soft tannins. Plenty of life remaining.

Same as the last bottle: This is drinking beautifully right now. The fruit has blossomed. Dark, plummy fruit, with some tobacco, loam, a hint of pine. The fruit is delicious, you could almost mistake it for a Zinfandel, but it's a little more angular. Tannins are still present, it's nicely balanced, although slightly on the fruity side. Very full palate, delicious, wonderful stuff. Probably best to drink soon.

Black with a deep ruby rim. Big, intense nose of black fruit, pepper and lots of aromatic herbs. Also intense and full bodied on the palate, with loads of presence. Definitely hedonistic.

- Aromas of bell pepper, blackberry, black pepper and violet and has flavours of blackberry and black pepper - This is a good of a bottle for 35 as Cedarville is for 25. Quite fruity, yet balanced. Last of the 06s. This needs to stay on my buy list as I pare down.

Tons of cabernet character, menthol and dark berries on the nose, shows oaked richness, mocha, cocoa, mint and vanilla, good menthol nuances but a bit on the oak-rich side, good with steak

Day 1, a nice nose, very full-bodied, a bit tannic, and a bit tart on the long finish. Day 3 just yummy. Smooth tannins, a great nose, and delicious to drink. There is still a bit of alcohol on the finish.

big full dark fruit all the way through with well integrated oak- sadly this did not last long enough for any solid secondary flavors to develop-LOL that is the price to pay- next bottle i swear will give more time-

Dark ruby-purple color. The nose has blackberry, cassis, leather, just a little charred wood. The palate is a little spicy, and there's a little bit of pruney fruit as well. The finish adds some vanilla. It's a little stereotypical mid-level California Cab with the dark fruit-spice-vanilla profile, in fact I tasted this blind, and that's what I pegged it as. Still, it's interesting enough and balanced enough to be very enjoyable.

Tobacco, attic dust, dark fruit on nose. Dark fruit, anise, tobacco on palate. Nice mouth feel. Long finish. The only detraction is a little jammy, pruney (minor). Nice wine

14.6% ABV. Opaque dark garnet in the glass. Herbal, slightly earthy nose. Medium full bodied with herbal tangy currant fruit. This strikes me as something like a cool climate Cab despite finishing at 14.6 (at least that's what they put on the label). Decent, but a little herbal for my preference.

14.6% ABV. Dark garnet somewhat translucent in the glass. Somewhat herbal nose with suggestions of eucalyptus and mint. Underlying oak. Medium full bodied with semisweet red currant fruit and a light leafy character. Pretty good.

This wine tastes like blackberry pie with vanilla ice cream. Very delicious with hints of smoke and leather. After about three hours, this hits a very awkward, bitter, green phase.

Surprisingly dense flavor, long lasting cab profile. Tannins are a bit more harsh than the regular cab or of course the reserve, but an outstanding value for Sonoma cab.

Unexpectedly fantastic. One of the best wines of our Christmas weekend, and we had a bunch. Creamy smooth oak and rich dark red fruit with a touch of cigar box. Really really good stuff.

14.6% ABV. Dark garnet, slightly translucent. This Sojourn Cab has a rich sweet open smelling nose with a touch of sweet creme brulee/powdered sugar, blackberry and mint. Rich, sweet vanilla blackberry and black currant fruit on the palate with a late note of mint and a little tannin. Good. I strongly prefer this to the '05 Sonoma Valley Cab. This might be one to consume relatively young.

This wine really came out after it was opened for a couple of hours. Upon first opening it was pretty closed, but then it really started to show its stuffing and great menthol nose. A great wine...there has to be some eucalyptus trees by these vines...I hope they don't get chopped down anytime soon as they add a great dimension to the wine.

This was the wine of the day. On opening I smelled and tasted chocolate. This was rich and substantive. Really tasty. At the 40 minute mark, this got really smooth, with a hint of spice. My cousin thought it was a syrah (he's trying). At 90 minutes, it was smoking. Sorry I don't have any more at home, but happy I have several of Craigs pinots sleeping.
For a wine in the mid $30's, it tasted like something more expensive.

Deep ruby rim, black center. Deep mocha and cassis on the nose, toasty oak, spice and a touch of broccoli in the background. The label mentions mint; I suppose there's some mint there too. Full bodied on the palate with smooth tannins and good presence. The oak isn't quite integrated yet; still youthful.

Absolutely blueberries and vanilla on the nose. Not the most complex wine--but fresh & fruity with nicely integrated acidity. The finish was sour, which I didn't like--and that quality really diminished my enjoyment of this wine.

Sojourn Release Party (REEF Houston, TX): Blueish hue to this wine. The nose instantly hit me as blueberry cobbler with ice cream. Other said blueberry yogurt. Intriguing bouquet. Lighter style than the two previous bottles. This fruit comes from their back yard vineyard. The palate had more blueberries and the black fruit began to pop up. Tobacco, cedar box, and chocolate were also all in there. The tannins were a tad light and sour which led to the gentle structure, but this vineyard is still quite young. The price also reflects this @ $39 vs the $48 for the regular bottling.
